question about soldering the neo2
 

Hi, to those who have installed the neo2 modchip : To solder pin point 2, you have to remove the white cable from its socket right ?

what version of PS2 do you have 1,2,3 or 4

I have version UK 30004 but it's the same for all the models.

yes you do have to remove this cable it just pulls out but when you are putting it back in the female ie the the socket has a flap which flips up to insert the cable easily(be carefull i used a small precision screwdriver) or you wont get it in i suppose this would probably be the best way to remove the cable-just gently ease the flap up look at it in very good light and you will see it latches when shut i hope this help dont blame me if you break it blah -blah blah--disclaimer but this is the way to remove this cable..:D

remove the cable by lifting the flap... the best way is with a fingernail ... much less intrusive than a driver ! Use your nail where the cable enters the connector and lift. Also make sure that the cable is fully home and aligned before closing the connector.
