I need some help to patch FF9 (french)

I couldn't make a copy of FF9 french.
I don't know why. I have CDRwin 3.8D (demo)
and the french patches available at megagames.
The PDX one launch the PDX intro but nothing
happens then.
( I'm following the step by step help from megagames)

Thanks for your help.

I'm playing right now with a backup without any pb.
I just used CloneCD, in 4x burning, without patch.
I just hope that the protection is not so far in the game, like medievil 2, remenber ;-)
I agree with you that it's not a real help, but note that I burn with a HP 8120 (RAW DAO working good).
Before I'd Creative Labs CDRW 4424E which never give me any working backup. Then I think that CD burner is your real pb.

Sorry & good luck

Good luck - Sorry too for my english!

Are you certain that your FF9 version is french?? couse i got the same error testing the french patch on a UK FF9??

Do you think it may be due to the patch?
I read that the french and german patch don't work.

If I want to make a backup CD, which specifications are needed? I know for the RAW DAO mode. But what for the Subchannel data?
Do my burner must read, write or both to make a good backup? And do I need a reader that have the same functions?

Many thanks for your answers

In my version, the texts are in french. So I think it's the french version.Am I wrong?

Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks

FF9 french use a terrify new libcrypt protection!!
My plextor don't work with clone and patch don't work too...
So we need to wait a new patch or a new update clone version to overpass this ugly one!
(medievil 2 use it too)
