Protected Games
 

I just went to the protected games section and noticed only a few games are protected. Does this mean that you can just use cdrwin and extract then burn onto a disc and play it without patching it?? Also are any of the final fantasy's protected 7, 8, or 9???

Just go to PSXCPLIST there you can find any info you need regarding proctection

The games without protection you can copy without using a backup

in the download section there is a copy of a games database which lists which games are and arnt protected

I downloaded a database that shows if games are protected and I would agree that not many are so why is there so much pathing going on? Am I missing something? In the last thread I read, Patching a ANY GAME in a PS ONE With a MODCHIP from MODCHIP.com , the game being patched was die hard trilogy 2, now my database does not show that as protected so why the patch?

Not all patches are to beat copy protection,they can also provide trainers(cheats)
