multiple burn disc's
I'm still new to all of this burning patching stuff. So here are my questions please respond if you can help out.
1. I have a CREATIVE 8432 burnner with Sony CD-R 650MB 74MINS, IMAGINATION CD-R 700MB 80MINS & MEMOREX CD-R 650MB 74MINS disc's(black bottom). All of these disc can burn up to 12x. But can these disc be used to burn a playable PSX game?? 2.Can someone explain how to patch any game with P4U patcher or PPF O MATIC patcher?? 3.And do you have to repatch a burned game if you want burn a copy of it?? 4.And if you have a patch, do you have to apply the patch to each disc, if the game has more than one disc?? Like FINAL FANTASY 9 OR DRIVER 2?? 5.Next if you burn games all the time then what are your settings for the program that you use?? I'M SO TIRED OF MAKING STUPID COASTERS OUT OF MY CD-R'S THANKS FOR THE HELP !! |
i dont know much about the discs your using but i heard the darker the disc better the copy!!!
for patching games use ppf-o-matic and download the patch u need, unzip it then run ppf-o-matic select the patch file then the game u wona patch press apply that it. for pal 4 u only used it once for crash bash just selected the game and let it do the work , it worked fine for me. im new to burning ps games too so email me if u have any trouble ([email protected] |
You want to patch the image before burning the game, I use cdrwin and patch o matic, There really aren't that many games that need patchs, I have over 100 games, and maybe 5 of them have patchs in order to play.
Use the extract sector tab in CDRwin to copy the image example. c:\temp\image.bin, copy the image then open the record disc tab, click load cuesheet and load the image file you copied in c:\temp\image.bin Then click record disk. PRESTO!! |
you dont have to repatch the game once copied and patched this then becomes your master; just straight copy.
Sometimes you have to patch all disks in multi-disc games, and sometimes just the first one. see the downloaded patch, it will tell you. as to the settings take a trip to this site it will answer your questions and prob create more. http://www.geocities.com/akahomeruk/ I advise not to burn at x12 try x4 or x8. It can cause skipping on the FMV movies at the beginning if you burn to quick. Depends on the quality of the burner. |
