Knockout Kings 2000 Help needed please
 

Please can someone help. I have a plextor W121OTA and used cdrwin version 3.8D. I used Sony CDQ-74CNP discs as they were recomended by game copy world. I copied knockout kings using cd backup as the game copy world site said that the game was not copy protected. Anyway the burn went fine and after I found out which side my psx likes to be positioned(standing up like a ps2) the game worked fine. I use a action replay card which plugs into the back of the psx which takes out the need for a mod chip. It took a while for the game to work but it did work fine for about three days. On the fourth day I went to play it as usual using the swap trick, I could hear the laser accessing the cd in its usual way and thought the game was aobut to launch but instead my tv screen went black and then displayed a whole load of numbers? they look like the sectors of the disc? the game would not do anything more, just stuck on that screen. I copied it again the same way( I followed all the instructions for cdrwin) read raw sectors and read at 1X and burnt at 1x and left all the other settings to default but now the new backup does exaclty the same, a black screen full of numbers(like a binary code or somehting) and nothing will work from there. I am pretty new to this backup stuff but have had some success. I backed up my copy of Prince naseem boxing and patched it and that worked fine so did a copy of Medal of honour and some other Moto cross game. I know that I'm on the right track but have just gone wrong somewhere. I dont think its the action replay card(swap trick) because it works fine with my other two backups. Could someone find it in their heart to help me please? I also backup up syphon filter 2 and that just wouldnt do anything at all. I patched it exactly the same way as the Naz boxing but nothing works at all. Sorry for rambling on for so long but I'm really desperate.

Sounds weird since you said it worked for 3 days. But try burning it again using the following CDRWIN settings.
Before you begin copying, disable all the programs in the system tray icon (especially anti-virus), defragging the drive might be usefull also.
Under the CDRWIN extract disk/sectors option make sure you have RAW and MCN/ISRC checked. Also error recovery should be on ignore, jitter correction on auto and subcode analysis on auto. For the read retry recount type in 50. It will also be better if you set all your speeds to 2X since playstation reads at the same speed. Try that and see if it works.
I use the same Sony CD and they worked pretty well especially with EA games. I tried copying Syphon Filter and it turned out bad also.

try burning it with clone cd if your burner supports it you can download a trial version from
elaborate bytes website i have this and cdr-win but use this for psx and pc games .especially good for protected games
