I need help with my modchip it doesnt read cdr pleez help
 

ok I bought a psx in mexico with a modchip installed (all psx come with it)the chip works only with those silver ones but the damn thing wont read normal cdr I have several different brands and I know they work cuz my homie gots a chip and it works on his psx.#### what can I do or should I just download pro action replay and disable my mod chip?

hm.. thats pretty interesting.. are these silver cd's like home made, or like bootlegged one's? do they have a logo or any kind of artwork on the disc? you could try burning a disc and seeing if the playstation can read it thru the cd player. one more thing you can try, is buying music
cd-r's.. they say its only for music purposes, but its really not.. they are just made so they can be read by most/all cd players.. they will work for data purposes too.. do your cd-r copies work in your friends playstation?

Can you play audio cds that you've burned on cdr at your playstation ? If so, then I assume that there is no modchip installed inside this psx. Btw, I never heard that "all psx" comes with an installed modchip, because a modchip is a pirate product and using copies is illegal, if you don't own the original.

ps. the modchip isn't responsible for the color of cds recognized properly by the build in reading unit, it's the laser-unit and it's adjustment.

This mod chip only plays thoes silver cds from china there the bootlegged ones that are silver on the bottom I also know its a stealth chip cuz Tomba 2,dino crisis and other work but when l burn my own psx games they dont work

I tried some working homemade backups and they wont start it just takes me to "insert a psx game disk"screen and it plays most originals some times I have to reset a couple of times it reads pirate cds easier (oh and in mexico the cops dont care about pirate shit they buy it to and the games cost $2.00 bucks each.)is there like something I can change to the lenz or somethin or should I just take it apart and see wuts in it?
