i need help getting around mod-chip detection
My little sister got a Disney game for christmas, but it wont work because it detects the mod-chip i put in her psx. I there any way i can get around this?
u need to make an image then patch then burn it back to cd
what do i have to do to patch it? what files do i need?
Well I can't say myself.
But from what I understand you have to download a patch, and use some special program to apply it to your image file.
[#]http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches.htm I understand as well that patches come in the form of: *.pff files *.p4u files *.ppf files or... *.exe files Complete instructions are on that page, but you might find a little trouble when it comes to selecting the actual patch you plan to use... as of yet, I haven't determind what the difference between what Pal/NTSC and Jap/NTSC means. Can anyone help me with that? |
All I know is that PAL is the television standard outside the USA as far as display of colors go and that NTSC is the standard used in the USA. Normally a JAP version is for their standards, but I am not sure if this is always so.
What does Pal /NTSC actually mean though? Does it mean it converts a pal game to an NTSC one? Or that it works for both?
Usually when there is a patch for PAL/NTSC it is for selecting between the two when you start the game. I guess some want the choice.
