Can a IDE burner copy a patched psx game?
I have a IDE burner and use CDRwin, i have no problems backingup my non protected games but when I need to do a patch it always goes wrong.
So I 'm thinking is there something I am doing wrong, but I have all the right settings and instuctions from pyrats helpfiles or do I need a new burner. |
Yah, I see no reason, mine's an ide 8432 burner.
Not all patches work tho, eg, the crash team race trainer/crack don't work for me, but the plain vanilla crack does.. |
double check with others about what crack u r using and what game as some r a pain

I use an IDE burner & CDRWin with no problems at all, just make sure you are downloading the right version of the patch!! I've patched loads of games with no problems!
Good Luck! |

There are some burners that can copy non protected games quite ok, but will NEVER write a patched file properly. Maybe your burner is one of these.

How about patching to PAL/NTSC?

BOT-CK is right as always in that it may be your burner when writing a patched image, i have an IDE HP8100i which is very stable and never gives me an ounce of trouble. AS far as PAL/NTSC, Trainers and Modchip Protection patches, then you will still require CDRWin to create the image and then patch the image before durning the image. |
