no dongle DVD X
 

Anyone tried their DVD X (no dongle card) in their SCPH 10000 and 15000 ???
My friend has purchased this (DVD-X without dongle) for his SCPH 15000. But it doesnt work...
So what i did is get my other DVD-X (with dongle) and it works fine with his system...
I also tried his DVD-X (without dongle) in my system and it really doesnt work!!! So what i did is search for the magic numbers (codes) for the ver 1.01 DVD but there is no such codes for the earlier version... Anybody could help???
Can anybody give me codes for the said driver??? (DVD 1.01 ver)...

I've bought the region x without the dongle and it boots ps2 cdr's fine but not dvd's. simply put in regionx and let it boot when the screen show the region code option press eject swop disc with back up and press eject to close cd tray when it has closed press the start button it then loads.

Maybe I'm being silly, Jumpstart, but are youi sure the one that didn't work was the JAP version?

Anyway, as you've now got the Origachip, here's what happens on my SCPH 15000 on the no dongle version:

1 DVDRX PAL boots fine!!!
2 DVDRX JAP (backup) boots fine behind DVDRX PAL!!!
3 DVDRs boot behibd a large TOC Original DVD game because I retained the old modchip.
