Can you copy PlayStation games with a Sony Cd-Writer?
 

Is it possible to copy PlayStation games using a Sony CD-Writer? I've bought one and then someone told me that they recognise PlayStation discs or something and won't copy them. I've also heard from someone else that it is possible to copy them. It's an internal CD-Writer and I don't want to commit to opening it all up and fitting it in until I know the answer. So can they copy them? And do you suggest swapping it for another brand? Thanks alot!!

I have a Sony Supressa Professional, model CRX140S SCSI and have no problems with it. I use Clonecd, Nero and CdrWin. I have yet to run across any problem with the writer not wanting to copy a PSX game.

Yes my m8 has one and he has no problems, dont know what model but his works fine

I have an internal IDE Sony CRX-140E writer. I use Clone CD and every game I have copied has worked so far...... (WWF2, Fifa2001, ISS Pro Evo, Crash Bash.......) :)

I have a sony burner, works perfect. copied about 130 psx1 games, and have copied a couple of psx2 with no errors but my psx2 is not chipped yet so dont know if they work.
