psx backup help
 

Could someone please tell me what would be the best software to backup up psx games. I have an Acer 8x4x32 Cdrw and a 50x cdrom.

You must have the mod chip installed into your psx right?
Is it as simple as making an image of the cd to your hard drive and then burning it to cd. Will most games work straight away but if they are protected you have to install a crack and rename the exe file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You got it mostly right, cd to hd, patch if needed then hd to cd.

What did you mean by renameing the .exe? it's not like doinf pc games here!!

BTW, i have the same setup, acer 8432, but a 40x reader..
