Any advice for Syphon Filter 2?

Hi there!
I'm trying to backup my copy of Syphon Filter 2. I've tried using cdrwin 3.8c and clone cd (at speeds from 1X to 6X) and nothing seems to work. I get the 2 sony/playstation logo screens and then the screen goes black and all I hear are repeating beeps. My reader is a Kenwood True-X 52 and my writer is a Yamaha 6416 Scsi.

I had no problems with this game using CDRWIN it is not protected if you are talking US NTSC version. Try reading with your burner and then burning it instead of doing it simultaneously. Speeds of 4x read 1x write and u should be fine

i had no problem backing up sf2, also using cdrwin. did you use a key crack on cdrwin?? if so maybe got a bad key.

Try using Padus DiscJuggler. I tried several times with CDRWin & the PAL version of SF2 without success but DiscJuggler worked first time perfectly. CD 2 was the awkward one for me.

try clone cd

also cdrwin 3.8 series, if you used a crack usually will say completed successfully, but will not work.

i have not had problems with cdrwin and syphon filter 2, i was using cdrwin 3.7a. but since i got my yanaha 8424ez ide drive, cdrwin does nor recognize it. that is when i started to use clone cd 2.7.8.1, it works great.

i had the same problem with the beeps and no game so i used nero and it worked then.

Thanks to all! I am using bought versions of cdrwin 3.8 and clonecd 2.8. My friend has nero 5. I'll try that if I still have problems.

Thanks again,

lounger

Lounger - did you come right with SP2?

I've tried to copy it and also get the beeps when booting up?
What did you use to copy it in the end?
