Do you need to have a mod chip to use the boot disk or will it work without a mod chip and can the boot disk play back-ups.

I'm running under linux. I don't have CDRWin. Does anybody have an iso of the boot CD? Also, does the boot cd work without a mod chip installed?

The psx (5 yr old one) needs mod chippin (external or internal) whatever, the bootdisk u r all refering to is a cd that allows u to play imports on a chipped psone (new small one). so u need a mod what ever ;D
