www.kaneaction.com sell the boot cd aswell as the chips for the ps2 havent done a ps2 yet because hopefully sony will have mine for me nov 24th if im lucky just waiting for the final letter from sony to tell me when:) .but have ordered many old chips from them and never had a problem with them they are based in the uk but deliver worldwide. i believe the disc is used for booting all region dvd's and old psx cdr copys. i hope this helps a little
