Assuming the patch is called PATCHNAME.PPF and the game image you want to patch is called IMAGEFILE.CDI, you would use the following command line.

applyppf patchname.ppf imagefile.cdi

but then da patch doesnt come wit the the .cdi
n where can i find that

In that case, your on your own - and you're likely to get banned from these forums for asking where to find the game images. Yes, that's what you did when you said you had the PPF but it didn't include the .CDI and asked "WHERE CAN I GET IT?".

Where exactly do u type in that command line because im havin the same problem with sonic 2 i have the cdi file and also a file called e-son2fx.ppf and aply ppf.exe ay help would be appreciated

Start-programs-ms-dos prompt or u should be able to just open up patch-o-matic then click on ppf and select the ppf file and click on image other file types (if its not an iso or bin file) then your game image. good luck!
