Back-up Back-ups cd to cd--read--

Im a newbie myself as i've only just bought a d/c and myself 2 was having loadsa problems with dj3 and nero...i just couldnt copy cd to cd(backups) or even a boot disc with the downloaded bootloader .cdi file.
After reading these boards and seeing everyone taking the piss out of the newbies i didnt bother to ask
too many questions cos them that know think they're f@*ing rocket scientists or something....
Anyway i got Winoncd 3.8 by roxio and everytime i've tried cd to cd i've had zero problems so all u other newbies can try the same thing...
cheers.
Hoopjam.

Roxio WinOnCD WTF?! Only software I've known Roxio (Formerly Adaptec) to produce in the CD burning realm is Easy CD Creator and DirectCD packages. I own the entire suite of Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0 and I don't see WinOnCD anywhere. I'm too lazy at the moment to hit up Roxio/Adaptec's site to research this.

CD To CD copies.. your lucky if you can get them to work flawlessly, because several factors come in play, that the laser in your CD-ROM keeps on track and up to speed with the laser burning a fresh CD up in your CD-RW. Then you have to worry about data being trafficked across your IDE/SCSI channel(s), which can also cause a frisbee.

Best method to go is to create an image of the backed up CD to your hard drive and burn it from there. Your hard drive will not skip a beat unless you got like 20 dozen Internet Explorer/Netscape/Opera windows open to "picture sites" and you got WinAmp/Sonique busting out your favorite tunes, you get the picture.

And since when do we take the piss out of newbies? How do you even do such a feat?
