VcD Boot
Hiya Another Question. Im all over Q's today!!
Okay I need to know the following: 1. Where can I get a VCD boot? 2. Where can I get VCD movies? 3. What are VCD movie formats? 4. How Can I Burn VCD boot or movies? (Probly in Nero right?) Thanks ~Rush~ |
Oh for ####'s sake, you're really being lazy, havent you ever heard of searching?
1. http://dccopyworld.com ---> DC Utilities ---> Graphics Tools ---> (choose one, preferably GypPlay) ---> right-click, select Save Target As, done 2. Most MPEG-1 (possibly 2) encodes are compatiable as VCDs. Find them whenever you choose, I dont feel like getting banned by telling you exactly where to download movies. 3. .mpg, .mpeg, maybe .asf, .avi, definetely not divx 4. I'm pretty sure directions are enclosed. |
Rush_Omega is BUSTED!!!

Question 2, however, "Where can I get VCD movies?" could be construed as asking for VCD disc images!!! Please tell me that you were talking about commercially available VCD releases and not VCD disc images. Scorpion_225, it's your call now... Whatcha think? |
When I said where can I get VCD Movies.
I mean terms by were can I see the releases of the movies (info on how the look or demo I should say).. Not Where can I get the real movie files!! I should of know better to ask for them!!! I have about 16 movies on my site!! But there not on links yet. -site- http://www.geocities.com/black_cast99/index.html?1002332611100 -site- Look at it and tell me what you think plz |

KazaA has .avi file will those work?? Aslo Last time I got a .avi it had a problem saying that it like in a aduio Form. So do you think it will work?? |
Well that depends on what you get, even though there are non-divx .avi files, I doubt anyone would make encodes out of them. DivX does happen to be a highly-set movie standard and I dont see any reason why someone would use avi without taking advantage of divx coding. The files you found on KaZaA (or Morpheus for that matter) are most likely divx and the dreamcast wont boot them since it needs a codec that it cannot get. So my best advice is for you to stick to .mpg's and .asf's. Here is the GypPlay list of supported files just for you to be sure:
.mpg (MPEG-1 only) .mpeg (MPEG-1 only) .dat (MPEG-1 only) .avi (no odd codecs!) .m1v (MPEG-1 video, no audio) .asf (no odd codecs! MPEG-4/DivX is NOT supported!) .sfd (v1.01 SFD format works, but no audio. Newer SFDs not supported.) |
I was Searching around and I found a program clalled Avi2Mpeg-1
SO will this be a good help?? |
Just goto www.vcdhelp.com
They hold your hand through the VCD creation process... And about the DC boot.. Its splattered across the web. |
