a question about cdrwin

when i choose disk image/cue sheet in crdwin why do i only see 4x speed and up for the data and audio speed and no 1x speed im currently using 3.8 f is this the wrong version to burn games if it is then what version should i download? i was told if i choose 4x then i would be coastering so how do i get 1x speed?

You're allright on 4x - but I hope you are not using CD-RW media because that won't work on the PS2.

what charlie saying is new fast cdwriters write cdrw at 4x-10x
1x is not possibles
your ps2 wont read cdrw
use cdr then u can write at 1x or whatever
and they will work

no im not using cd-rw media and it still doesnt seem to work i tried everything i patched the game and it was successfull but when i put it in to play it just spins real fast and i dont see anything on the screen at all what am i doing wrong? one other question charlie the same cds used to record music is the same cds that you use to record games right?because if not then that could be my problem

Two points:
1/
Failure to play a successfully written CD can be game related (protections not copied across and the appropriate patches to overcome this not applied esp. applicable to EA games) or it can be modchip related (we don't know which modchip on what PS2 and what game and origina of game is involved). Quite often the matter is resolved if you use CloneCD and a fully compatible burner.

2/
I doubt that you are using specially designated AUDIO media. If you are burning data media (i.e. not in a box marked "Audio") then it'll be fine (unless it's black media which absorbs to much laser light).
