100Hz TVs
Hi!
Does any1 know of any light gun or hardware trick that would make a light gun for a dreamcast work on 100Hz TVs? ThankS! |
100Hz??? I know PAL is 50Hz and NTSC is 60Hz... Where do you live that you have 100Hz? Is this a projection TV or what? I've not heard of a 100Hz TV set.

yes, 100Hz TVīs are real! but the lightguns donīt work!
|
100Hz = HDTV/EDTV?
Hell if I know.. never heard of 100Hz either. ~TMM~ |
Multi-system TVs (both NTSC and PAL SECAM compatible) are 100/120Hz.

Yes, Majin is right, it's a multisystem TV, a Panasonic Qintrix 100Hz TV, where I can view PAL/NTSC/SECAM stuff and thus run any kinda game (50 or 60Hz) no matter if it's a USA, EUR or Japan release on my PAL DC. In addition it's panoramic and 28". so games are great!
Problem is that the refresh rate of the screen itself (100Hz) makes light guns not to work properly. Now, these TVs are standard where I live, it's not a next generation TV nor (E)(HD)TV nor a TV no1 can't afford... and I live in Spain, so it's hard to believe hardware companies haven't come to a solution for such TVs. |
I have the same problem I also have a Panasonic 100hz tv, i don't think there is a workround. Still at least we get really good picture quality compared to normal 50hz tv's :)

I'ven't tested 50Hz TVs yet, and most of the people in here seems to play DC on the PC monitor...
I'll have to check out the difference, I know VGA is far superior since there's more resolution, but I want to compare this, because it's a true experience a panoramic, 28", 100Hz TV ;) Have you guys seen an online auction at Ebay offering a special lenses to boost up your TV to a "wall TV" of 300"? |
