discjuggler settings

Can anyone tell me what particular settings you use with discjuggler to make your copies? I always click on "ignore read errors" when making my image file and leave everything else on default, and most of my copies turn out fine, but not some. Should I be turning on RAW mode or TAO mode, or anything else in order to make the most consistent copies?

Consider the following:

-TAO will screw up your CDs with "illegal field" errors

-RAW will most likely burn the images throughly just the way they were intended to be burned

...be wise

DO NOT TOUCH THE SETTINGS IN DISC JUGGLER! Each image file has it's own sets of settings that were put there by the group that ripped them. If you change those settings, your asking to get screwed.

Once again, momo you are asking to be corrected. The DJ settings are frequently wrong, most common in ALL echelon releases. Common errors include "illegal field in parameter" and "illegal mode or packet size" errors. However turning RAW (DAO) read/write lets DJ record the entire image w/o any problems, and the game be perfectly compatiable with the DC.

As for the other settings, then here is where you are correct momo. Setting such as mode, packet size, and the rest of those boxes in the advanced tab ( sans RAW ) should not be altered in any way. But it does help to go to options and set the max image size to 80 mins if you are recording on 80min/700mb cds. I also had problems before I got DJ3 and a ghost driver installed but I dont think those things would make any difference to you. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure I fixed most of the burning problems I had by turning RAW/DAO mode on.

Well I've NEVER once experience said problems with any Discjuggler image releases, from any group. I've always left preset settings and just click Start. Never once burned a frisbee like that.

99% of all computer-related errors are classified EUE.

Lucky bitch...

I have atleast 10 casualties on my hands, but not one since I've started burning raw!

Penis:

I have to totally disagree. What makes a CDI a CDI is its "pre-programmed" settings. Why do you think release groups use DJ? They use it because all settings are pre-set.

I have yet to have a problem with DJ settings. Even if you manually configure the settings within DJ, most of the time it does more harm than good.

But, whatever works for you is what matters. Along with what MoMo said, DJ settings should be UNTOUCHED. If there is a problem with the burn it has to do with the actual CDI or your version of DJ.

okay, thanks for the advice. My particular problem is that 1 burned game that I'm borrowing, Guilty Gear X, registers as an audio cd on my comp. Discjuggler registers it as one CDDA session with the individual songs and one open session. When I burn the game, the copy just plays as an audio cd on my dreamcast. The actual copy I'm borrowing works fine (oddly enough, it can be played on a regular cd player as a soundtrack). Have either of you encountered this problem, and if so, is there any way to make a working copy?

If it's one session disc so it's no any problems to make all your copy manually by creating files and made an image with any burning soft.
But if you want to make it with DJ just check mode 1 and close the session (make sure TOC is written). Nero has a great help on modes - read it...
