Does anyone know why some DC back ups play on one machine and not the other?
Hi everyone, I recently made some of my backups self booting. And they play on my machine that is made in China, but not on my dc made in Japan. Anyone know why? Does it have anything to do with where it is made? By the way I am using cdrwin, bin2boot, cdinero, and nero burn rom.....thanks for the help.
By the way I did try the search option first and couldn't find any related topics. |
I think you might be right. I have heard rumors that some DCs wont play CDRs. For example the internal components are made in different places, and don't use the same exact material/specifications.
You might also want to check the manufacturing date... |
it may be because DCs made after October of 2000 can't play cdr's. at least that's what i read somewhere on the forum. if you find out differently, let me know.

i have notice that some type of cd-r media don't always work on every dc. i ran into that problem before, where i burn image on cheap media and ended up using them as coster.

Not sure why, but I re burned 1 of the games using DJ instead of Nero and it works perfectly on both machines. I am going to re-do the other one today, and I will let you all know if it fixes that one also. I read that cdi2nero has not been fully tested, if it is a problem with the program does anyone know if there is a fix for it?

Yep, dont know why but burned the other with dj and works on both machines. Has anyone heard of a problem with some machines reading a nero burned cd?
