It compressed so much because there is a blank DUMMY file that takes up probably 600+ meg. The purpose of the dummy file is to push the data to the outside edge of the disc where the Dreamcast reads data faster. The faster read is necessary to prevent 3d graphics dropouts (and sometimes boundaries will be lost too). I've played TestDrive 6 and it has a boundary error frequently, causing either cars to run into an invisible wall in the road, or fall through the road (and right out of the sky). The gravity algorithms that cause all objects to be pulled down cause cars to fall through the street, and since the image wraps back to the top of the sky, they fall out of the sky.
