Laser not reading DC Back-ups?
 

Dreamcast will not read back up games. Works on my neighbors DC fine. Any way to clean the laser so it can read the back up games? Please email me at bryantreadwell********com if there is anybody out there who can help regarding this issue

Well if you really think it is the laser's fault, most of the time it's not, then run into your local computer store and ask for some lens cleaner and maybe a can of compressed air.

Also, ##### the date on the bottom of your Dreamcast game. You may have a newer "Copy-Protected" version. If the date on your machine is October 2000 or later, copied discs may never work. There's some info that using a different disc configuration (BIN2BOOT /NOHACK makes such a configuration) may fix the problem with the newer machines. Best bet is to ##### that one in on an older (pre-OCT2000) machine.
