NoCD request: Z.A.R. v1.03
 

Hey folks. I wonder if anyone's around that is willing and capable of help on the matter.

As it stands, the Z.A.R. v1.03 executables all have a CD check. If anyone here would be so kind, is removing that possible?

Involved are: ZAR_D3D.exe and ZAR_GL.exe, the Windows executables delivered with the patch.

Try the executables attached. I don't have the game so all I could check is that, in the Windows versions, the initial dialog requesting the CD is gone; I found the analogous parts in the DOS versions, too.

Hm... it doesn't hit me with the CD check any longer but there's a different error which likely means the Windows ver of the game might be incompatible with current systems. I'll ask for a few favors in that department but this problem is, for the time being, apparently solved. :-)

Also, it checks for INTROR.AVI and ZARR.SFS, so owners of English ver might need to rename INTROE.AVI and ZARE.SFS to these.
