Newer DC's ???
A friend of mine just got a dec 2000 manf. date DC. I have had no luck whatsoever burnin games for it? I have an oct 2000 dc thats plays anything but this newer one will not play any backups. I read you have to burn data track then audio/boot track..I have tried this according to the many posts on this boards & DC copy world..I still only get the DC cd player menu?? Does somebody have step by step instuctions for this shite'.?.. I have tried various forms of bin2boot and stuff? also ......too many coaster plz HElpp??/
P.s. What I really need is step by step instruction for any resent game...then i can figure of the rest once i get the pattern of conversion/copy down. I saw a post for makin ct2 bootable on a new none-cdr dc but it didnt work for me?? More info: Oct 2000 DC hkt 3020 "SA" Dec 2000 DC hkt 3020 "WK" Oct 2000 boots and plays all games bought in Jan2001 Dec 2000 boot NOTHING goes right to cd menu bought in June 2001 Wants the difference in SA and WK models that is is only number/letters that are different on the bottom of the DC's. Any more boot advice..People that have newer DC are you burnin games differently or same as before/last year anyway???? Thxx |
As far as I know, I haven't heard of a way make a playable backup for DC's manufactured after October 2000.
Don't waste your time. Have your friend sell his DC on Ebay, and find a used one at a Pawn Shop or on Ebay... g/l |
There's some information at ####://dreamlover.tecbox.com/#6.1, but I still have not been able to make a good boot disk for my dec 2000 dc using the instructions. I was wondering why someone that has made a successful boot disk for the new dcs has not yet posted an image of this? Wouldn't it be a lot easier for other people? Anyway, also mentioned in the faq is that NBA2k1 and NFL2k1 are both copied in a way that should work on new dcs. I'm going to try my friend's copies of those games on my new machine and i'll report the results.

well, nba2k1 didn't work for me on my new machine. there might be a way around it, but i don't think it's worth the effort. time to sell this one and get a new machine.

???
i've one .. purchased June 2001 !!!!! and plays allll.. really all !!!!! you just do the copy right.. first track audio.. min 4 sec, the ip.bin must be right inserted in the iso file and have the right values.. and 2 track is then data.. or if there are audio tracks, they follow there.. and the last track is data.. XA mode 2 !!!! just simple !!! if it just works.. throw your burner out of the window and buy a scsi =) SCSI rocks.. u see ! |

Just because you *BOUGHT* it June 2001, that doesn't mean it's one of the DECEMBER 2000 or later units. If it works, it's an older unit. Simple as that. |
my one has also no date .. onky HKT-3030
