Question about compressors
 

hey guys. i was wondering if someone could give me a basic rundown of some of the more popular compressors and what file types work best with them.
some of them im familiar with, like i know msc compresses texture, wav. mp3 and dds files, and lolz can work quite when paired with xzlib for dds and other files, but what about some of the others? i know uelr is for unreal engine games, and afr is for assassins creed, but what about LZO, LZ4, crilayla and so on? you all dont have to post a novel length explanation on them if you dont want to, just please give me an idea of what file types each one handles.
