Looks great !

Can you change redists to {src} rather then {app} ? Always nicer to not have them on DVD rather then in game folder, when you have multiple games installed.

Using pzlib may increase compression ratio.

Stor31 17-05-2017 09:04

thx Housine80 ..

Prey\Binaries\Danielle\x64\Release\Prey.exe

NO WAREZ at all, you should know better by now !!!

Compressed using REF|PZB+Srep+LZMA. And got this when trying to install... BTW, I have no clue yet about these new compression methods... Any hint will be welcome...

Yeah, the well-known scene vsf makes it unpossible to read errors.

But it's the -12 CRC error.

houcine must update setup.exe with v2.0.3.8b. Then the error is gone.

You can use zlib checker from here http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=97657 to check if a game using zlib streams.

To use zlib, choose REF|PZB + Version 0.42. zlib is something like precomp, but way faster in compression and decompression.
To use reflateAPI, choose REF|PZB + Version 0.38. ReflateAPI is faster than CLS-reflate from razor (have not tested compression yet).
LZMA2 is faster than LZMA, but has not that good compression ratio than LZMA (in most cases).

Have not tested others yet.

Here is some info from simorq
Quote:

Noodle (1-2 MB Speed Compression) (30-70 MB Speed DCompression)
Zstd (4-8 MB Speed Compression) (300-1024 MB Speed DCompression)
Lzma2 (5-10 MB Speed Compression) (50-150 MB Speed DCompression)

Noodle Best Ratio (No Test)
Zstd and Lzma2 Relatively equal

Setup Updated
Do not forget that there are problems (Ultra Arc) with antivirus

well just replaced exe with new version 4 and now I get this error.

Besides that I realized that even in a PC that meets the game requirements it takes forever to install and stress the system to the limit that hangs other applications when installing... so I guess i will use the old methods to get this done since an installation program shouldn't do that just to get the game installed IMO... Maybe in a near future things get better and I can give it a try again.
Anyways, is good to see how much effort you put on this and see that you're always trying to get somthing new done about it
