help - binhack GPF error
i have extracted all the data files and audio files. i ran dahack 1st_read.bin 0.
that worked. when i run binhack, and i enter !st_read.bin then ip.bin and then the msinfo (0 for non self boot correct?) it then gives me a general protection fault error.and it says exiting due to signal SIGSEGV. what is wrong? also is this the way to burn it if you want to use the boot cd? another thing when i use cdda 1st_read.bin it turns the file into a 1.9 gig file? my ip.bin file is 32k . is that right? the game is "Expendable" Thanks ConfusedOne |
When "binhack.exe" tells you this kind of message it is that your "1st_read.bin" is corrupted! So, you must extract it one more time.
Moreover, eXpendable is a Katana game, so you can cut the .WAV files in order to burn it selfbootable. But, for your information, "0" is the LBA of the 2nd session for a game which will be burn non-selfbootable. Besides, a non-selfboot game must have its "1st_read.bin" HexEdited in order to change "6EB0" by "A600" in the sentence "6EB0 0000 0100 0000 4443". This modification must be done before any other hack (as "binhack.exe"). Finally, if your "1st_read.bin" makes 1.9Go after being "dahacked" and "cddahacked" it may come from the options of the file which is in "read only". That is all! CYA! |
