.001 etc. to bin?
 

Hi,
I have a .rar file and when I unrar it I get .001, .002, etc. I have directions for burning bin files. Can I get these to bins to follow my directions? Am I screwed or is there a way to burn this stuff? Thanks much in advance. ~cuthbo

I downloaded Crazy Taxi 2 and I get the same thing and the .001 etc has windows icons on them. Please help!!!!!!!

You should have d/l a .rar and then a number of .001,.002 etc with each game, which varies with the size (MB) of the game.

After you have downloaded WINRAR and installed it, double click on the .rar file and click on EXTRACT TO within winrar. Select a temp directory to extract to and hit extract, this will then leave u a burnable file.

Once you unrar the .rar file and get all the .001, .002, .003, etc files, run WinRAR again and double-click on the .001 file from within WinRAR.

Somehow that file got RAR'ed twice, once as several separate sectional pieces, and again as one single RAR file.

BTW, sometimes you'll see .rar, .r00, .r01, but other times you'll see .001, .002, .003.

I've seen the latter a lot on Kalisto releases, and the former on Echelon releases. All the Kalisto I've downloaded is .BIN/.CUE files, and all the Echelon I've downloaded has been .CDI.
