Dev: Converter Ultra

What to do for the test?

Step 1: Launch ConvUltra.exe
Step 2: Create a conversion
Step 3: Create a setup that uses iscu.dll, see IS_Example folder
Step 4: Move the first volume next to the setup you've created
Step 5: Run a test

Notes:
* Progress is not shown just yet and compression is not applied. (It's still just a test to see if CRC stays the same for all files or not.)

- Seems ConvUltra doesn't respond during packing (in fact, it works in background)
- Log Window is empty
- No possibility to change FirstDiscSize and NextDiscSize (on each more Disc you have plenty of space free)

PS: Oh didn't read properly.

These are not important things. What is important is the Disk Spanning, which is great.:)

Yes yes yes :D

Like i said, haven't read properly :)

Setup.exe - All Ok - MD5 Ok
Merging with ConvUltra.exe - All Ok - MD5 Ok

Will test some bigger games tomorrow.

@everyone

as you can see, the inno script example is very small. It's roughly going to be like that where everything is taken care of by the dll itself. Things like disk browse form can be changed but the default one is the one the that is shown in the first picture. Progress, things like elapsed time, remaining time, estimated time, transfer speed, data processed, data remaining, total data, basically all information about installation will be given via a callback, up to the user if they want to utilize that or not. CRC error dialogs will be shown in case if user wants to ignore the errors and just continue with installation.

Thanks Razor12911
Does Disk Spanning work with methods?
Like: srep + lzma

Razor12911 06-07-2017 12:33

Yep, but I disabled them for now, still making plans. Everything must be perfect before that. Once progress moves and everything else is perfect then compression methods will be added afterwards. Plus the good thing is, there are no threshold settings in converter ultra meaning when installing a game, no installation files are merged in app directory for them to be unpacked. Installation takes place from disk while srep and lzma is running then requests next disks while creating no temps whatsoever.
