UltraARC by: Razor12911.

1. Install the game. Update game, apply NO-CD if necessary.
2. Download attachment, extract to HD, NOT in Gamefolder.
3. Move _CommonRedist folder from game install directory to last dvd in extracted folder.
4. Run UltraARC_mod, Browse/Select Your installed game, Select the compression method to use (feel free to use it or not) ;)
5. Make iso files with the same name of folders.
6. Test the conversion, before burning ISO.

Enjoy!!! :)

Already tried that and got it to 3xDVD5. trying adding delta now to see if it fits into 2xDVD5.

Droppo 23-04-2017 18:43

welll tried to make it 2DVD5 using srep+delta+lzma and no luck. the uncompressed redist folder makes it go up to 4.48GB...
Now blanked some intro videos and trying again to make it fit

KaktoR 23-04-2017 18:49

^What about change directx with webinstaller? Would it fit?

pakrat2k2 23-04-2017 20:37

You could also just leave these files for a small DX setup, only ~6mb

Was going to use it, but don't know if omdj used the /Silent switch for it, if that's the case, it will give a nasty error... Will try with pakrat2k2's idea now...

Have you noticed there is an x64 version of almost every single file you named it here? seems like it will take a lil bit more than 6mb

wit 23-04-2017 21:42

srep+lzma it finish on 2 DVD 5

DVD 1 4.37
DVD 2 4.35

but if move commonredist to DVD 2 it size 4.48 over on DVD2

maybe 3 DVD5 is better on none compression

Thank you omdj

welll, finally made it 2DVD5...
- stripped directX like pakrat2k2 said, but keeping x64 version too
- Blanked 343_Intro.bik, Logos.bik and MSGameStudio_Intro.bik ( all of them are game loading intros and logos)
- compressed using srep+delta+lzma
results
DVD1 = 4.37GB
DVD2 = 4.37GB

sutikno 25-04-2017 01:51

When install, "split.exe" detected virus by AVAST
True or false ?
Thank you

KaktoR 25-04-2017 01:55

^It's a false positiv.

herymmc 28-04-2017 16:48

why ican't setup runtime error 217 at 074E9EDB ?

pakrat2k2 29-04-2017 07:15

^ what OS you using ? You've completed the steps outlined in first post?

herymmc 30-04-2017 01:50

win 10 pro 64 bit

pakrat2k2 30-04-2017 07:48

set the setup.exe to run in compatability mode for win7 see if that helps at all.

herymmc 30-04-2017 17:06

Already compitable in win 7 still can not run, but if win 7 can run

pakrat2k2 30-04-2017 18:32

something on your end for sure, works in both Win7/Win10 from others ive asked.

herymmc 01-05-2017 03:45

I mean win 10 run in compatability mode for win7 still can not run

pakrat2k2 01-05-2017 07:59

I know, and I said its something on your end, it runs on Windows10 without setting compatability mode. Make sure all redists are installed.

GOOGLE > Halo Wars: Definitive Edition not running on Windows 10

try reading the results.

herymmc 01-05-2017 15:56

ok thank's

KaktoR 05-05-2017 15:21

Fits perfectly on 2xDVD5 using lzma2 without trimming redists.

Just replaced "uiScrollingCredits.bik" with some dummy 1sek black bik file.

You can do the same with the logos/esrb/etc. Should give you another ~100mb.

Maxgrilo 04-06-2017 13:37

I left with 3 DVD's even without any compression, I tried with srep + exe + exe2 + delta + lzma and even without DirectX it still goes over 120MB on a third DVD, it's no use putting high compressions in that game if even the files that are Out of the sound and video folders does not have a satisfactory compression, in my view taking a long time compressing the files does not compensate.

WaltonSimons 27-10-2022 00:49

Anyone willing to do a DiskSpanGUI update for this?

Thank you very much in advance.
