File uploaded to this forum, will have moved so not on 3rd party site.

nice job on the conversion, btw :cool:

haazmaaz 23-08-2013 02:12

gatosky1620, can u give info about compression time and installation time ?

prudislav 23-08-2013 03:53

does it have proper regentries for upcoming patches? (i think they were in some uninstall secion in registry)

Newbie 23-08-2013 05:27

@haazmaaz

It all depends how strong your PC is.

@prudislav

I don't know....

But even if it doesn't have, I'm sure they will be included in "conversion update"...

You shouldn't worry already about it.

@gatosky1620

Great work, it looks really nice.

rated01 23-08-2013 05:59

is there any way to change compression to none?

Newbie 23-08-2013 06:11

I think you can change it.

Right click on compress.bat - Edit - and now instead of this part

Quote:

-msrep+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:lc8
put -m0, as I can see that is for No compression.....so in .bat file it should be:

Quote:

arc a -ep1 -r -w.\ -m0 [email protected] -dp"%choice1%" .\DVD_1\%arc%
And do that for all lines.....

Try, it should be pretty fast....

If he properly took the regkey from my conversion, yes it will support upcoming updates. As alternative you can burn the V1.01 game and put new updates in 5th dvd.

I've tryed to install the update 1.01 from Ubisoft at your game conversion and it's says that the game was not found.
No matter what reg entries will you use, for Ubisoft games you need to apply the patch/updates before doing the conversion. So, in order to burn the game to DVD's, you need to wait 2-3 months or more for all the updates of the game.

And is there a specific reason not to report here ? If you have such a problem, why didnt you report this in the thread ?

mrmustatza1 23-08-2013 06:35

I'm just saying man. I am not judgeing you or something like that... I have a big respect for all of your work @fileforums.
I didnt report on that thread because I'm sure you know that about Ushit games. I posted here because I saw you and prudislav talking about upcoming updates for the game.

Well if there's a problem with the conversion, i'd like to fix it. If you could've told me in V1.00, i would've fixed it by now

Newbie 23-08-2013 06:40

@mrmustatza1

".....for Ubisoft games you need to apply the patch/updates before doing the conversion...."

Nope, not true.

I'm doing it this way.

Don't create uninstall key with inno.....

...but include uninstall regitsry keys of the "original" games.

Tested with two programs and it works fine - Inno and Setup Factory....

Cheers

The problem is that the Ubisoft "update software" doesnt detect games installed by yenner's conversion. You can test what I am saying by trying to update these games (after you installed them using yenner's conversion): Far Cry 3, AC Collection, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Splinter Cell Blacklist.

@Newbie
I'll try your theory and report back.

I'll request something from you, install the game with my conversion. Try to install V1.01 update on it, it should say game is already updated to v1.01

If it says game not found, i'm gonna give you a setup.exe to check which has more regs in it

prudislav 23-08-2013 07:08

its just missing registry entry - it checks somewhere in unistall section of registry

Done.

PS I've installed your second conversion. If i'm not wrong, the v120 is the third one. I will try with v120 and report back.

pakrat2k2 23-08-2013 09:11

You're compressing first time right pakrat ? Because compressing is not necessary it's only setup.exe update

pakrat2k2 23-08-2013 09:27

yes, had d/l files extracted & thought had started compression last night, but was an error in copy/paste & it wouldn't accept original folder name, so had to remove 'special' codes from folder name to get it to compress files... about 40% complete now.

still is somewhat.. IF you install base game without update, it reports game is at 1.01.00 already & you cant install update 1. ( 120HF set )

I think 2 versions need to be there, 1 for base game-NO updates, and other for game that is at 1.01.

Vanilla version causes problems, lots of performance issues, besides NO-CD works with both version, it's better to burn updated game IMHO

@Oldguard1990

Did you change anything since that looks weird.

Since I see this in .bat file:

Quote:

-msrep+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:lc8
And it seems it can be fixed if you change above to:
Quote:

your pc's ram not enough, it tells you how to fix it.
use -lc/-ld to limit memory usage...

nothing happens

Newbie 23-08-2013 15:27

@pakrat2k2

What does he need to do.

In case I got the same error once in the future.

Edit arc.ini or....and if yes, how it should look like e.g.

Quote:

packcmd = srep {options} -m3f -l512 -c256 -a4 -lc/-ld $$arcdatafile$$.tmp $$arcpackedfile$$.tmp
or...

Thanks

Oldguard1990 23-08-2013 15:32

@newbie
