Instructions:

1. Install the game.

2. Extract 'TR_2xDVD5.zip' contents. (not in game folder).

3. Remove all the foreign languages files from game's folder and leave the one you want:

title_foreignlanguage.000.tiger

4. Launch Compress.bat & wait.

5. Move from game's folder to 'TR_2xDVD5\TR\TR_2' folder:

'redist' folder

6. Make ISOs with label names of your choice. Test before burning.

DISC 1 = 3.57 GB
DISC 2 = 3.23 GB

I didn't knew. Maybe edwinkyr used your installer as example.and I used edwinkyr installer as example.

Because of this i hate precomp. Always fails for me.
but it seems that the error was in srep?

not enough, for tomb raider u must have at least 20gb disk space.

Hi guys.

Im getting an error while attemptin to install converted non survival edition of the game. You can see the error and the game files in the screenshot bellow.

Ive converted 1.1.748.0 updated version of the game following the instructions from the first post.

Archive file is corrupted. Could be the problem with the RAM or your HDD, but I would redo conversion once more before you throw some tantrum :D

Also MOVE the unins* files from the folder before making conversion. Then once its completed move them back to uninstall original version, before testing conversion files.

Sorry for the late response, but ive been kinda busy.

tonet666: I dont have FreeArc installed on my PC? Isnt all necessary for the conversion in your rar file?

NamelessOne: Both components are jus fine.

pakrat2k2: Ive already tried covnersation with and without the unins* files, but without success.

something is being done wrong, just tried the conversion on Win 8.1, compressed fine, although if you read the compression screen it tells you that to speed up compression time to add -zl13,17,77 -d0 to the commands.

It installed with the exact same error, at the very end & rolled back changes. Might as well use a conversion that works.

found the error, it's in the included arc.ini

Code:

 [External compressor:precomp043]

header = 0

packcmd   = precomp043 -intense0 -cn {options} -o$$arcpackedfile$$.tmp  $$arcdatafile$$.tmp

unpackcmd = precomp043 -o$$arcdatafile$$.tmp -r $$arcpackedfile$$.tmp

Both need to be changed to just precomp.
