Prince of Persia Collection - CIU 1.0.1.2 2xDVD5
 

This is my newest conversion, covers the following titles: The Sands of time, Warrior Within, The Two Thrones, Limited Edition (aka 2008), The Forgotten sands.

First of all, proper thanks to: Yener90, Fabioddq and Peterf1999.

Update
Added new setup files for 3xDVD5

Instructions

1- Install all the games.-

2- Download attached file and decompress wherever you want (not in game folder)

3- Move your installed games files to TEMP and proper folder inside
4- Launch compress.bat and wait (takes a few hours so grab your popcorn and watch a movie :D)

5- Test the conversion, burn or make iso.

Thanks...Which version required for Prince of persia Warrior Within,DVD Version or CD ?

I compress and i have polish version. All is ok without The Two Thrones and The Forgotten Sands, first no work second change langwich to English. please HELP. Sorry for may English.

Maybe the problem is with the reg key if you can copy and paste here the reg key from your original installed games so I can figure out whats the problem is.

Problems with step 4
 

Hello,

I seem to have problems with step 4.
Could you please give more details.
For example, selecting option 6 asks me for the folder of warrior within, and always gives an error.

If you choose item 6 from compress.bat it will be asking the folders for each game so must have all the games installed or will not work

I have all the games installed.
I have copied the game files in the TEMP folder and also left the names in the TEMP folder exactly the same.
The point is that despite having all games installed and following the instructions, the error is always something like "files not found" or "archive empty".
I just need an example of the required syntax. The only time it doesn`t show an error is when i use quotes and full path, but then it just exits the batch and doesn`t do anything.
Could you please give an example of the syntax or make a batch that doesn`t require input.
For example, my installation folders are:
A:\Prince of Persia\Forgotten Sands
A:\Prince of Persia\Ghosts of the Past
A:\Prince of Persia\Sands of Time
A:\Prince of Persia\The Two Thrones
A:\Prince of Persia\Warrior Within
And the location of the Custom installer with the copy of the game files is:
H:\burn\POP\ - for the compressor.bat
H:\burn\POP\TEMP\ - for the copy of the game files, each in it's respective folder
Also, i modified the Data.lst files to match my version of the games, first thinking the problem was from the different versions, since my games are all from GOG.com, except for Forgotten Sands

where do you see this even mentioned in the original listing ?

that is probably where the error is coming from? because its looking for something in original POP game that you don't have. Limited Edition (aka 2008), is the original POP game?

What i`m trying to say is that NONE of the games can be compressed.
For example: I select option 1 and so it`s supposed to compress Warrior Within, right? Well, it doesn`t work. When asked the location, I`ve tried:
TEMP\Warrior Within
H:\burn\POP\TEMP\Warrior Within
A:\Prince of Persia\Warrior Within
All of them with AND without quotes.
It doesn`t work. What am I missing?

As for the "Ghosts of the Past" part, please keep in mind the fact that this is where and how I installed it. The folder in TEMP is still "Limited Edition".

I've figured out that what I had to do is type "H:\burn\POP\TEMP".
That is what I wanted to know.

OK,

After finishing the compression, the 7 data.cab files are 10.5 Gb, mostly because my Warrior Within unpacked har 3.3Gb and packed 2.6Gb.

Thus, my compression is 3xDVD5, with Data1 and Data2 are on DVD1, Data3,4 and 5 are on DVD2 and the last 2 with the redist are on DVD3.

It works, because i just installed them all.
This is not important, but could you please give me a setup.exe, with these modifications in mind, so that the prompts for the next dvd are as they should?

Data2.lst has a file NOT needed as its OP's profile, which can be deleted.

The Sands of time\Profiles\jorge\Profile.DAT

Same for data3.lst
The Two Thrones\POP3Profiles\jorge\Profile.DAT
also all of The Two Thrones\MENU\SPANISH\* files can go unless you need Spanish.

just running the compress all ( #6 ) option now will post back results.

My point exactly.

Just to be clear, i edited the data.lst files to match mine.
As I stated, all of my Prince of Persia games, except Forgotten Sands are from gog.com, witch means they are drm-free and have every trhing they need and nothing extra (because all the useless files were deleted before starting the compression process).
The installer also works, but the only inconvenience is the fact that when prompting for what is dvd2 it says to insert dvd1 (because data3 and data4 were suposed to be on dvd1, bun instead are on dvd2 with data5), and when prompting for dvd3 it asks for dvd2 (since data6 and data7 are on dvd3 now, and not dvd2).

The installer is also not editable, so i cant edit the setup.exe to prompt the correct disk.

The sources would be nice, if they were made with inno script, or a setup ini that can be edited.

Other than that, it works great and saves a lot of space in my hdds.

I did this and I got 10.3gb all in all for conversio and all install fine and working, but no icon on screen for "Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands" so had to take it out of game insall folder which was not a problem. Just wonder if its something missing in setup that can be fixed anytime or is the new one posted the fix for that as could help others who may have issue no icon on screen.
