DMC: Devil May Cry + DLCs - 2xDVD5 *CIU+Srep+Freearc lzma* - *Updated (11/04/2013)*

Based on CIU v2 by yener90. Compress.bat based on Peterf1999 and BAMsE scripts;
Music: "The Trade" from soundtracks; Video: I can't remember the name; Reg Keys: Not needed;

Note:
Don't move redist files. Leave in the game folder; Remove your original uninstall files before make the conversion;

1. Install the game, all updates and DLC's. Download attachment and extract in your HD (Not in game folder);

2. Run Compress.bat, select your game directory and wait for Finished!

with srep etc 2xDVD5...it will take longer to uncompress/decompress the file

Because of external compression. Here 8,40 GB (9.028.513.815 bytes) with DLC + redist.

Data1.cab: Srep+Freearc lzma --> 5,62 GB (6.034.849.748 bytes) to 3,41 GB (3.664.683.469 bytes)
Data2.cab: compression none --> 2,78 GB (2.990.844.323 bytes)

And have space to put a video. :D

I think, you use internal compression... I'm so accustomed to test with external, that forgot completely the internal compression. LOL :o

You right senseman. 2xDVD5 with internal compression. Compression none.

DVD1: 4,36 GB (4.689.385.138 bytes)
DVD2: 4,07 GB (4.372.235.636 bytes)

what to change in script if want to change the compression of data2.cab like data1.cab in ur external installer....

tried looking in compress.bat ? thats where the work gets done using external compression.

It will not change much. Some 200MB less. So be useless. ;)

to try and fit perfectly on two discs dvd5 change the value DiskSliceSize to DiskSliceSize = 1500000000 ;)

Yes. If you watch the installation of the game, the programs' redist install in the end of the installation...directx, c++, etc...^^

I defined {app} in Setup.ini

{src} DVD

Conversion works perfectly on Win 7 x64 but I noticed something strange! After the installation is almost complete and there remains to install only what's in REDIST folder (DirectX, vcredist, etc ....) background image is black and remains only small installer to the end of installation!!I tried so {app} game folder and so {src} DVD - Same thing!!With CI 8.5.7.4. that problem does not exist,backrgound image is Ok to the end of installation.I want to know if I happen just me or is something wrong in the CIU script!

It's normal. Technical issues of CIU. ;)

Using internal method, do we have to delete original uninstall related files? Is it necessary to compile langScript ir order to get autorun.exe or can we use the one provided? (since they are not equal)

Hi! Yes, move original uninstall files (if exist), then back after make the conversion to uninstall your original files.

You can use the autorun.exe available I think. If not work, compile LangScript.iss to make a new Autorun.exe.

Yes, but you need organize all files for each game. And compression methods too. You need to test several times for each game. The level of compression varies from file to file.

To make a installer you can use CI or CIU by yener90.

Unfortunately, i don't have these games. But maybe I can do in the near future. ;)

The most annoying part is that I'll have to recompress again with update 1!:D

OK, I encountered an error.

In Setup.ini for internal compression you should remove the Extract Settings that mention the cabs, otherwise you'll stick to an unskippable disk prompt.

Also, isn't it possible to leave the redists out instead of having 'em in gamedir?

I forgot delete this section before upload the files. If you read, i specified that in the first post. :p

About redist, just leave in the game folder. I defined to {app} in Setup.ini

EDIT: OK, problem solved. My crazyass burner screwed up the damn Setup.ini file, luckily I don't have to reburn the game as it's the only file corrupt. I just need to keep the setup.exe and associated files on HDD and point the discs to it.

i cant seem to get this size...
getting
DVD1: 4.38 GB (4.707.147.776 bytes)(when i burn with imgburn,it says the dvd 'sectors' doesnt fit dvd5 and asking for overburn)
DVD2: 4.04 GB (4.339.292.160 bytes)

am i dividing the files wrong?

should... only thing that MAY change is gamesize ( setup.ini ). Otherwise conversion uses installed game files so try it out & report back if it works.
