Hitman Absolution (Multi8+DLC's+Update - 4xDVD5) *Inno Setup*

Based on CI 8.5.7.4 by yener90;
Note: Even with the registry entries, you still must use the language selector. (Except English)

Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion.

v1.0 - First release (2305 downloads);



v1.1 - Current release;

 - Updated to multi8;

 - Updated size according update, languages, etc...

 - Fixed reg entries for all languages; 

 - Changed method of compression to internal;

1. Install the game, update, update language pack, all DLC's. (Your size will be: ~ 30GB)

2. Copy DirectX (Only files!) to HMA_4/Redist/DirectX;

3. Open InstallerScript.iss and change the first line according to your game installation path:

4. Press Compile and wait... ( ~ 2 hours & 30 min);

5. Move to:

HMA_1: Setup-1* files; Setup.exe; Setup.dll; Setup.cab; Setup.ini; 

HMA_2: Setup-2* files;

HMA_3: Setup-3* files;

HMA_4: Setup-4* files;

6. Make ISO's and before you burn.

Final Size: 14.6GB (Compression: Lzma/Ultra64 - Installation time: ~ 35 min)

DVD1: 4.34GB (If want put a video, change DiskSliceSize to 1540000000 before you make the conversion or will not fit!).
DVD2: 4.33GB
DVD3: 4.33GB
DVD4: 1.78GB

7xDVD5:

Change Compression to : none

Oh man, is possible that if I leave only one spoken language the less DVDs will be there?

Yes, if you know what are the files, delete the languages that you don't want. ;)
But it will reduce ~ 2GB.

Man, I'm scared about the size of that game. Next update and the size will be greater than Max Payne 3.

It depends actually, if it just simply rewrite actual content it wont be a problem, if it's adding MOAR content, well...

can you include in your conversion the "hitman: sniper challenge"?
it is not part of this game but it has connection with main game (you can use the same weapons).

Corrupted files? Try make the conversion again. Try not to make other processes during conversion.

I deleted. Problems with missing files. :o:p
After update 1.0.438.0 emerged many new files. So I no longer which is which file. Froze my brain trying to organize files for compression in FreeArc :eek:

make sure to move uninstall files BEFORE making conversion, it can cause those corrupted archive issues.

need to change 2 things in installerscript.iss for dvd9

DiskSliceSize=1708200000
SlicesPerDisk=5

perfect sets DVD9:
compression=none
DiskSliceSize=1508200000
SlicesPerDisk=5

dvd1=7,29gb (with video)
dvd2=7,02gb
dvd3=7,02gb
dvd4=6,96gb
installation time 10-15m.

You can just change the language on ini file and you get that language. making that file as a language cab plus a couple of changes to the script you can get it done for each language you want

Make the conversion. ;)
But I don't guarantee that fit into 3xDVD5 after update 1.438.0.

Make a test! :)

I planned the conversion with Compression=Lzma/Ultra64, if not fit, try change to: Compression=Lzma2/Ultra64. But I will not say if change much.
