Based on CI 8.3.5.1_BETA by Yener90.

Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion (IF EXIST).
Setup.cab contains a Video file (36.2MB; 01min:58s).

1. Install the game. Install all updates.

2. Download attachment and extract in your HD (not in your game folder).

3. Open InstallerScript.iss and change the first line according to your game installation path:

4. Press compile and wait... (~ 10 min).

5. From your game installation folder, copy install folder to Metro2033_2 folder. In install folder, make sure if the archives have the following names:

DirectX\DXSETUP.exe

PhysX_10.02.22_9.10.0222_SystemSoftware.exe

vcredist_x86_sp1_atl_4053.exe

6. Move to:

Metro2033_2: Setup2*.bin files;

I've just downloaded this and the setup run well but it plays only the background video like a loop. have anyone encounter this problem?
P.S: what innosetup did you use the unicode version? (sorry for bad english)

Video loop? Oh yes, because of CI 8.3.5.1. In the latest version doesn't happen anymore. I will update when possible. ;)
If wish delete video, open Setup.cab with Winrar and delete Video.avi from Background folder. So you see only images.

@Fabioddq I'm trying to make your conversion 2xdvd5 to 1xdvd5 with freearc by using a compress.bat file or something like this, can you help me with the compression level script. I was thinking creating one like your Hitman Absolutin version, with the DATA.list type. I don't know if I was clear enough.(sorry for bad english)

I've tested it and is not possible to fit on 1xDVD5. However, I have not tested with precomp. It takes a long time to compress and precomp always fails with very large files.

If you wish try even yet with srep use this: -msrep+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:lc8

Yep, you can use the same script of Hitman. Change files in Data.lst's, folder name, etc...

Nope, precomp does nothing with this game - I've tried it long time ago. The only way to slim it to 4.3GB is unpacking its compresed containers, removing unnecessary video (trailer of another game) and precomping uncompressed files. But there is a problem - game won't work without its containers, even if all files from them are unpacked and placed correctly. Unfortunately there is no way to pack them back into large files.

I'd convert, But during instalation processing successful the video background appears over and over again till the end process . do you can help me? how after the video finished only appear (JPEG) pict . is there possible add one more videoinside setup.cab? and do you know how to archive file setup to be setup .cab with winrar? thanks before...

Dont know, You click on Video button to turn off the video?
The script supported only one video during installation, but you can merge two videos with some video editor like Camtasia Studio.
Use Winrar to open Setup.cab.

free version of format factory, works good as well.

if i turn off... video stop.. and picture (jpeg) not moving

pictures scroll thru during install. takes time to move from 1 image to next.

The pictures still not appear.can you tell me how to solve it ?
