Thank you Peterf1999. Can we have also DLC installed during compression or we are really short of space?
|
it will compress whatever's in the folder, so if you have the dlc installed it will compress that as well.....
|
Yes i guessed that, but i see in compresss.bat that it adds specific folders in each data*.bin and i want to avoid oversized bins in this looooong compression :/.
|
Thanks Peter Great Job!!!
One Question can i update the game after conversion ? |
peterf1999, is there any possibility to add the Portuguese in their compression?
|
Peterf there is the possibility of re-encoding the videos (.bik) finally get 3DVD5?. Or your conversion is done?.
|
peterf1999, if i want to change compression level to none, what should i change?
|

@peterf1999
Need help.... I have no enough free space/SSD/ on drive C:\ to finnish coversion, is there any possibility to change something in compress.bat and conversion will use my drive D:\ to cache files? Thanks in advance |
you've installed game on C, so extract the 4xDVD5 file into a folder on D, run it from there. Also to make more room goto control panel>system>advanced system settings>environment variables. change the 2 temp folder location at top to another HD ( TEMP folder HAS to exist BEFORE changing the locations ). Do the same for 2 locations at bottom of window. Reboot PC once changes have been made & exited out.
This will save a ton of room on C drive. If yor D isnt that big then choose a TEMP folder location on a HD that has lots of room. |
@pakrat2k2

first of all...my pc spec is :
i7 3930K @ 4.8GHz + 16 GB of Memory + Patriot WildFire SSD 128 GB the compressing Process takes about 6 houres with me to complete (without errors) - final size of all 4 Disk's about 17 GB (27 GB of orginal size) - installation takes about 72 min the size of game file after installation is 28.3 GB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Very good, more 3 hours to install from hardisk i dont know if from DVDROM.
PC tested:ASUS Crosshair V Formula - Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2Ghz - Ocz Amd Black Edition 8GB 1600Mhz DUAL CHANNEL - HD SATA3 1TB |
The conversion took quite a long time on my AMD Phenom II X3 705e 2,5GHz, but it finished without errors. Thank you very much.
One small thing: At the beginning of the install, DirectX is installed successfully, but then it says: "\RRedistributables\DonNet\x64\NetFx64" can not be found. Could that be solved? I mean why are there two "R"s? Awaiting your answer. |
Installation is slow cause of CPU not of storage devices.
|
where is the attachment?

Code:
eg: arc x -ad .\Disk1\Data1.binEdit: before installing from custom installer, remove the original installation |
i tried arc x -addata .\disk1\data1.bin and it said
ERROR: unknown option "-addata1" so i put a space between -ad and data and now it says arc: data1.arc: open: does not exist (no such file or directory) EDIT: ok i sorted that out but when its extracting nothing actually happens, just stays on 0% for ages. there is one file in the extraction folder and it is 0kb |
Quote:
arc x -ad .\Disk1\Data1.bin The extraction is slow like in the installer, but it works . |
