Hello,
You are right I just tried to resampled some videos at 40%, 30MB and up files only (didn't touch files from dlc's folder, just main video) and I got 4.3 GB using only FreeArc -mx (full support to two languages) Thanks for your work. |
i didn't understand
2) From 'Alan Wake' folder, create 'Data1.bin' archive: Code: e.g. arc a -ep1 -ed -r -w.\ .\Disk1\Data1.bin -x"C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\data\*" -x"C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\thirdparty\*" -msrep+exe+delta+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:l c8 "C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\*" 3) Remove the foreign languages files from 'data' folder (ep999-000-XX.bin,ep999-000-XX.rmdp) except ep999-000-en.bin,ep999-000-en.rmdp files and then from 'Alan Wake' folder create 'Data2.bin' archive: Code: e.g. arc a -ep1 -ed -r -w.\ .\Disk2\Data2.bin -x"C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainmen |

Put compress.bat in 'alan wake' conversion folder and then run it. Update 2: Now the installer supports the videos and as well the images slideshow during installation time |
Thank you for the .bat to simplify the procedure, but I redid everything and it worked. Not sure what I had done wrong :P

orry I wanted to ask if the game creates a key in the registry because when I go to uninstall and then reinstall it tells me the autorun and Uninstall play is on.
What is the directory that it creates in the registry? |
lupetto77 you need to uninstall from original instalation before trying from dvd5 conversion.
|

How do i procede please ? http://nsa22.casimages.com/img/2012/...4713544581.jpg |
karimazwaw, NEVER extract into your game folder always a temp folder. you d/l the 2 joint pieces, extract them into same temp folder, then run the updated compress.bat ( from d/l #2... original post #1 & second part from post #7 )
Youd take DISK1 and burn its contents to dvd#1 then DISK2 contents burn that to dvd#2. REMOVE from game folder, uninstall original game, reinstall from dvd5 converted disks anytime after that. BaMse topic is here & works perfectly... take longer as you reencode biks, but works fine, ALL on 1dvd5 in 1 language. http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=92739 |
Conversion works with 1.05.16.5341 update
|
Can someone tell me howto extract files in those *.bin files?
|
there created with freearc, so open with same.
|
But when I want to extract it, that give me error message.
In English: Error: "D:\DVD_2\Setup-2c.arc" the file is not an archive orr corrupted: the archive entry from the end of the file is missing. Command r repair the file, -tp- option ignore the injuryprotection. The file was created with srep + precomp + arc with batch file. |
why try to manually extract, just use fixed setup.exe from post #7

I do not understand how to do step two: (e.g. arc a -ep1 -ed -r -w.\ .\Disk1\Data1.bin -x"C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\data\*" -x"C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\thirdparty\*" -msrep+exe+delta+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:l c8 "C:\Program Files\Remedy Entertainment\Alan Wake\*")......help me pleasure.
|
grab files from post #1 & post #7.. then run the compress.bat. It'll ask for game dir
you enter it in & it does te rest for you. |
Now I have the data2.bin data1.bin and now I do with that? because the tutorial does not specify anything, help ...
|
depending on the sizes of those files you'll probably end up with 2xdvd5. ( unless you resampled biks, then all fits on 1xdvd5 )
dont forget step #3 ( remove extra languages you dont want before you made data2.bin ) step #4 MOVE from games installed folder to 'Alan Wake\Disk1' ( from extracted archive, post #1 ) 'thirdparty' folder & 'videos' folder . |
Already did, when installed does not ask the dvd2, and I get this error: (Not an SREP compressed files)....(An error occured when unpacking. Unarc.dll returned an error code: -1 ERROR: archive data corrupted (decompression fails). :(
|
Can you please upload the script
Can you please upload the script so that i can change the pics and make another installer
Even I get this error: (Not an SREP compressed files)....(An error occured when unpacking. Unarc.dll returned an error code: -1 ERROR: archive data corrupted (decompression fails). |
