Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - 2xDVD9 to 4xDVD5 By Pakrat **INNO Setup**

1. Install the game in your choice of language.
2. Extract MW3 INNO SETUP.rar to your HD ( NOT in gamefolder )
3. Edit the MW3.iss file, change "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3\"
to your install location, (\" MUST be there. )

4. Save the file, and compile it.

5. Your files will be in the Compiled folder.

6. Move Setup.exe, Setup-1*.bin to MW3_1 folder.
Move Setup-2*.bin to MW3_2 folder.
Move Setup-3*.bin to MW3_3 folder.
Move Setup-4*.bin to MW3_4 folder.

7. Burn ISO's with any label name you want.

DVD1 - 4.33GB
DVD2 - 4.33GB
DVD3 - 4.33GB
DVD4 - 662MB

For those getting errors about missing ISL files, YOUR inno setup is missing the translation files.. COPY them from my languages subfolder to YOUR inno setup\language subfolder.

Thnxs a lot, was a lil bit annoying to keep fighting with the other converter and all the issues and small details wasn't working... will give it a try to this one now...

shouldnt have any issues has support for all languages, look to very bottom of ISS script for supported languages.

Yup, I know... I was kinda familiar already with this script so I had something done already so I just copied some changes I did to the script you've shared and now it's compiling it, will be posting results ASAP.

So far just had a lil error with turkish lang but I solved it already

i use ansi version of inno, that where the error comes from if you use unicode version.

make sure that the prefix for turkish is correct.. look to very bottom of iss script. and also make changes to autorun.iss as well

can i change the compression type? (the fastest one or no compression)

i get "out of memory" error when compiling :confused:

sure change it as you want click on help within script and look at compression for values you can use.

tested and works on windows 7 32 bit

What is the difference of this conversion for the conversion of Revo - Yener90?

the installer and conversion seems to work flawless on Win7x64/x86, now the only thing is that the CSS layout seems a lil bit messed up and the colors combo are not the best for that kind of background since it doesn't let you read anythng at all. Maybe that's something to have in mind and fix

If you check the script you'll see compression is set to max already

The other was made based on some other game converter and has problems, like the uninstall list name and bg sound.

This one is different without those problems and fully uses your game disks (Something I personally like, but that's just me)

Listen dude, i personnaly tested my conversion many times, all of them it has sound, the only problem was uninstaller, and some files.

I had to write a hundred files. I suggest you to do something instead of trolling around. Period.

About conversion,

you may want to change setup's background pakrat, you put EndWar's wall paper.

Revo, your conversion works fine for me, install and uninstall ok, no error in sound. Why your post was deleted? Could do a conversion for L. A. Noire?

i was the one who deleted them, they said uninstall they have citiesxl uninstall screen, also there was 4 missing files, i could add them to converter however, citiesxl thing is an error that i cant do anything, so deleted them.

Did I trolled your work? I don't think so, I've said a couple of things and most of them where personal choice and I stated that, so don't know why the hell you come up here telling I was trolling your work only and did nothing. Next time check the facts before stating such a thing. Maybe I was wrong in something, but the fact is, there where missing files, and showed up as citiesXL on uninstall list, both pure fact, fixable? pretty sure, buit they were there. and about BG sound, didn't work for me, so that's why I said that and comparing to this conversion I stated my personal reasons, that's somthing you can't say a thing about it coz that's my point of view and maybe you don't like it, but it is like that... Too shame you act like an ass now, coz I actually liked on first time your work besides the bugs i found was a good one. but seems like with you is all a matter of black or white.

Please, don't quarrel with each other; I'm sure you can spend your time for much better purposes. ;)

When compiling ,It's said "No files found matching "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3\*"
What's that mean????:confused:

You didn't define your source files path. You have to open the script and edit the first line
#define SourcePath

and make sure you end it up with a "\"


Droppo.-

NO the screenshot ( from post #1 ) is from the installer & it clearly shows MW3.. NOT Endwar. Screenshots definately look familiar, but I took it from their website.

will do others but WHY are you looking for the turkish.isl in program files\inno setup 5\languages\turkish.isl the ISL files are included with the rar file you d/l for this conversion... IF you dont have them all in your INNO language subfolder, copy them from my languages subfolder for the conversion. The icon in the root of the ISS script is of no concern, the one it looks for is in the compiled subfolders.. Must have forgotten to remove it when re-did conversion.. to biggie just delete it.

Here is a small change I did to the script...
Some of the fixes are:
- Changed Icon to CODMW3 one
- Better Spanish tranlation for autorun options
- Turkish lang commented to avoid the error
- Changed BG Music to a better one (atleast for me, so this is relative)
- Changed autorun, splash and setup background images and did a lil retouch on random pics showed during installation...


I think that's all... just a few changes and fixesm, that's all, not my work, just modded pakrat2k2 files. so thank him for this INNO Pack

Dont apologise, thats the way to learn.. pretty soon you'll be posting conversions of your own. Thats why I post the conversions, WITH all the files, so that others can actually see how the process is done, rather then just the setup.exe & instructions on what to do, to make the conversion work.

With sulfurum1989's help in figuring out freearc, working on a new version to incorporate INNO + Freearc + Droppo's Images+Spanish translation fix.. kind of a group effort to reduce the number of DVDs used.

I think its possible to make 3XDVD5. Without compression, fourth DVD5 are only 900 mb, I think with freearc and deleting DX10 ad redist folder, its possible to fit in 3XDVD5
