selvadario 11-11-2011 01:41

Is it possible 1xdvd5? The game is also about 5,33 gb...

BAMsE 11-11-2011 04:51

TippeX yes, it's based on steam ver because I have such one, but I believe it'll be working also with retail ver (I'll got it soon, then add support for custom languages). Now it is, lets say, beta testing ;)

selvadario with only FreeArc - not. I'm trying with Prec+Srep, later maybe with repacking *.bsa

Igor007 11-11-2011 04:55

1xDVD5 PLZ :)

There's a retail version which comes on DVD and Steam is only used for activation, so conversions are legit according to this forum's rules.
I wonder if it's possible to make a 1 DVD5 conversion BTW...

TippeX 11-11-2011 06:52

are you seriously trying to tell me whats legit according to the rules?

s3bastian 11-11-2011 06:54

Thanks a lot :)
Works perfectly XP SP3 :D

I'm not entirely sure what fracicone is trying to say either :) but I think he says that the game is installed from DVD, thus it can only backed up just like any other game based on physical media, and it's another story that the game (also) needs to be activated via Steam. That is, Steam backup won't work with it as it's not downloaded via Steam, only activated.

phill05 11-11-2011 10:21

Thank you, works like a charm :)

How about the reg for the launcher to work:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim]
"Installed Path"="D:\\blahblah\\The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim\\"

Dragan update to 1.1

GODZYLLA launcher makes'em itself at first run

LeChuck2011 11-11-2011 12:42

Thank you for this fantastic contribution but needs to be added to the registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ Bethesda Softworks \ Skyrim]
"Installed Path" = "INSTALLDIR"

If the game does not work

thanks

GODZYLLA 11-11-2011 12:45

That's what I said... The installer makes regs for uninstall, not the one "installed path".

loveco2001 11-11-2011 14:31

here is working inno script for all. Tested on Windows XP and Win 7 32 bit.

http://www.multiupload.com/C2Q10NGLM8

1. Install game.
2. Modify inno script according to your installation path. Also modify inno script for pictures you want to use and .ico file etc.
3. Compile script.
4. There you go.

BAMsE 11-11-2011 15:46

GODZYLLA and loveco2001 you really don't know what you're saying ;) This value is added automaticaly when running launcher first time and pressing install. Moreover during this 'installation' launcher creates ini files in '{userdocs}\My games\Skyrim'. When adding this reg value manually or even by Inno Setup you tell the launcher that Skyrim is already installed and it not creates ANY ini file. In this case, without ini files, you'll not be able to run the game.
If you stubbornly want to add it during installation, you must also have a copy of ini files on DVD and force setup to copy them to right place. In this case there will be the risk that your ini files (placed on DVD during conversion) will not match the PC where you installed Skyrim in feature.

REVEN 11-11-2011 16:56

version from steam dont need any reg...

well seems I missed "'{userdocs}\My games\Skyrim'. But if u start game with "TESV.exe" from installation folder once and then exit. "TESV.exe" automatically creates required .ini and other files at '{userdocs}\My games\Skyrim'. And then launch game from shortcut from desktop or else, launcher automatically detects your pc and configure settings. Just Click "Play" to have fun. !!!

Anyone know how to solve this error

http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/7481/imagekenj.jpg

It happens in the DVD2

BAMsE 07-12-2011 14:10

nadex some solutions:
install on another drive,
free some space on C: (or wherever the TEMP is located),
prepare cab once again

when you extract the tesv_2xdvd5.7z file, in the dvd1 folder open the setup.ini. > SaveGameFolder={userdocs}\My games\Skyrim

That says where the savegames go. but neither bamse nor peters include the savegame folder, which is NOT in the game folder.

BAMsE 01-01-2012 13:35

prudislav it seems I've reuploaded my experimental ver of installer after attachment deletion few days ago. However, it still works fine, just read fixed 8 point of tutorial. Sorry for mess.

himanshu23 04-02-2012 03:39
