So, the only .DAT files used for an english installation of the game are DS2DAT2.DAT DS2DAT3.DAT DS2DAT4.DAT DS2DAT5.DAT I can remove the other .DAT files and not encounter issues on an english install? Would be nice to just have a single dvd9 of this game... I'm using the EN/FR version of it, btw. |
make a dummy file for whatever dat files your not using. Either that or edit the installer
and remove the references to other language from it. |

Attached is an alternate dvd icon and autorun picture, since the stock ones were kinda boring IMO.
|
Thx mviking for 3xDVD5 :)
Smurf Stomper: Maybe I did some mistake, but your version doesn't work to me  |
GODZYLLA conversion worked 100%. :)
|
Thanks Mviking :)

No. My conversion is 2xDVD9 to 1xDVD9. There are various other DVD5 conversions around here, though.
Dvd name can be anything you like with my conversion, just create an entry in autorun.inf via notepad that looks like this: Code:
Label=Dead Space 2 |

TESTED WORKS IN WIN 7 X64 btw, how do you make the Dialog interface : please insert : DISCx ?? teach me bro :D |
@alexandr frei: Well, I'm guessing you know how to change the disk prompt using Orca... If you don't, don't bother reading the next steps, because in this type of conversion you need to do a little extra:
1. extract mst from autorun.dat with msiX (msix filename of MSI /out c:\msicontent) 2. edit and save mst with orca or appeditor 3. remove old mst from autorun.dat with msidb (msidb -d filename of MSI -j filename of MST to remove) 4. insert new modified mst to autorun.dat with msidb (msidb -d filename of MSI -r filename of MST to insert) |
thanks it's working
win 7 64 |

Even your your conversion, it is the same (same problem) ..

you either have the wrong autorun.dat on disk1, or your dvd labels are wrong.
also go read "How to fix the ‘Not Recognizing DVD2 Problem’. " sticky topic you may have some leftover from trying to install this so many times. |
or your dvd labels are wrong.=??? Pleas Help Me.
|
mviking conversion -> uses DISK1, DISK2, DISK3 as DVD LABELS
GODZYLLA conversion -> DVD Labels Disc1, Disc2 and Disc3 Pick 1 Conversion & use it. reopen your ISO and double check the dvd label. |
Thanks, Mr MVIKING and Mr pakrat2k2

Now i have problem! (I'm using De-Ru Lang)
http://cB9.upanh.com/19.0.25127138.5Bl0/untitled.png How i can fix it? - Update: Now i know it's Multi3. Are there any way without install game and using Inno? |
the conversions in this topic are for the MULTI2 version, which is ONLY EN/FR, so trying to use these conversions on your Multi3 EN/DE/RU version, wont work. so follow the conversion for the multi3 version, there are a few different ones posted here
|
can you create or post a guide for version Multi2 Ita/Es (2xdvd9 to 3xdvd5 or preferably 2xdvd9 to 2xdvd5 only ita)?? Thanks :)
P.S. I'm sorry for the language but i'm italian :D |
