1) Install the game

2) Extract 'Tron_Evolution_1xDVD5.7z' contents

GridGame\Localization\foreignlanguages folders
GridGame\CookedPC\foreignlanguages folders

6) Launch FREEARC browse game's folder & select all files/folders:
Code:

Thanks Peterf1999
Works 100% win7 64bits:D

pakrat2k2 10-12-2010 22:03

have tested this 1xdvd5 version & the 2xdvd5 conversion posted here & BOTH work in Win7X64. BUT the 1xdvd5 version DOES NOT install the DirectX, Games for Live, Visual C++ but the 2xdvd5 version does. It's your choice 1 or 2 dvds

nando2002 11-12-2010 03:09

Game for Windows Live is a big file, but if you open it with 7-Zip (or similar) you can avoid the .NET Framework (size: 234.32MB) and you'll get a small 27.6MB file.
In the Inno Setup, you just call "GFWLIVESetupStub.exe" and it will do the job.

theimperatorum 11-12-2010 11:20

Ok guys, after conversion convert the most big video files with rad video

Compression Settings:

Compress to a % of the original: 45
Key at least every: 200
How many frames to preview during bandwith allocation: 12 (use 64 to allocate bitrate more precisely for scenes needing more bitrate, takes longer but usually does better quality)

Compress Audio:

Compress level: 4

Now you can fit the game with directx, physx and gfwl on dvd5

Hey mate, its not easy as you think the biks contain multiple audio tracks 0 to 6 (7 tracks), you must extract all tracks and then remuxing of each track with same ID, so i just re-sampled one video.

Biks resampling is like a pain in the ass :D

pakrat2k2 11-12-2010 22:59

peter' can you upload the ISS script file for this converson ?

also how do you incorporate the extraction of the freearc files in the setup.exe ? was it from a seperate script file that gets built in to the exe ??

thanks, still learning more & more from your conversions..

I also have a question regarding GameuxInstallHelper.dll and why that particular file gives errors on an uninstall ( from a different conversion i was working on for a 2xdvd5 conversion of this game. )

It installs fine, creates the shortcuts properly but when uninstalling gives error message

Runtime error (at -1:0):
Cannot import dll: C:\Program Files\Tron Evolution\GameuxInstallHelper.dll

How do you skip that file for uninstall ?

jksengko 13-12-2010 17:21

For 1xDVD 5 i using windows 7 32bit after install the game can't launcher ???? pls help i think something setup.exe iss typing wrong code....

pakrat2k2 13-12-2010 20:28

because the 1xdvd5 doesnt include directx, physx and gfwl, all which need to be installed to play the game.

The conversion is very rapid and the video file works perfect (with audio). Just open RAD video, Select the video file, press bink it, settings the % and start the conversion.

OMG,i have not explained or you have misunderstood, the tron's videos contain multiple audio tracks, if you make a simple resampling with sound enabled, you will get a video with only one audio track (the 1st track) but the video has multiple audio tracks for each game's language. The correct procedure is to resample the video, extract audio tracks and then remuxing them.

Attachment 2077

I hope everything is clear :)

pleomax 15-12-2010 04:13

But peterf1999 i did like theimperatorum said and because i use English Language during Setup i don't need the other audio tracks.

By resampling the bik files i was able to include DirectX, PhysX and Gfwl in my DVD5.

Will it be possible for you to make an exe which will install DirectX, PhysX and Gfwl after the Setup finishes like the Original Installer?

Spanish Conversion

Obviously you didnt follow the steps properly. Start over again, meaning uninstall TRON & reinstall it. Then start conversion over again, do each step
and make sure you understand what it means before proceding and if you dont understand then stop & ask questions here

Step 4 means goto your installed game dir and delete the corresponding files you DONT want.

-> GridGame\CookedPC\Startup_foreignlanguages.upk files ANY ( that are NOT spanish ) -> Startup_CZE.upk Startup_DEU.upk Startup_FRA.upk etc

-> GridGame\Localization\foreignlanguages folders THOSE that arent spanish

DEU / INT / FRA etc DELETE those folders...

-> GridGame\CookedPC\foreignlanguages folders DELETE the English(US), French(France), German, Italian FOLDERS

Follow the rest of conversion, DONT overwrite movies when moving them.

Your Tron_Evolution.arc file ( you start freearc and select ALL files/folders INSIDE your installed game dir ) should end up about 1.77GB. The whole ISO should be no bigger then 4.37GB

pakrat2k2 28-12-2010 15:25

1. uninstall original version after completing conversion.
2. Run from ISO, you CANNOT run conversion from temp folder

Try replacing ' (single apostrophe) with the usual escape sequences: '' (two apostrophes) or \' (backslash and apostrophe).

The characters can be specified by their character value (usually an ASCII code):

Code:

RegQueryStringValue(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, 'SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Assassin'#39's Creed Brotherhood',
'InstallDir', appath)

or

Code:

RegQueryStringValue(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, 'SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Assassin'+chr(39)+'s Creed Brotherhood',

Did you remove the original instalation?

Check if this registry key was removed:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\WOW6432node\\Disney Interactive Studios\tr2npc
