I think Transformers is SecuromPA which would mean cracks of that type not allowed.

OK, yeah it does, but the crack does not circumvent any type of serial protection, the crack is just a no DVD crack, this game doesn't have any type of online activation ;)

Since the box I have which came into my shop tells that a internet connection is required. Strange.

But also what is with these threads, the cracks will reach GCW so no need for these threads to be started, if you have the crack upload it..

There are no prizes to be won by posting the first thread about a crack, even with box art.

Nobody is crying, there is no point to posting the cracks here on poor hosting when they will get on GCW on the next update.

I think 432 people would disagree.. Thats how many have download from the two links i posted. I do not do it for points btw. GCW takes ages to post No-DVD cracks.

Wow "very mature of you" did you pluck that one out of thin air? Nothing in the sentence you quoted was immature but a fact.

One problem with posting cracks this way is some cracks that circumvented online authentication has made it this way to the forum, only to be later removed. So its wiser to upload the files to GCW and wait for the update to the site/s.

I installed T2 today and it went online after install to check on the game is genuine. So yes it does use SecuromPA and the crack above removes it.

Wrong. The crack doesn't remove anything apart from the DVD check. I know for a fact, you can use a non legit key, install the game, use an image file and still be able to play the game. Multiplayer won't work, obviously.

The key is checked if you have an internet connection but there is no activation.

The Crack for T2 only remove the DVD-Check.
You Cant play Online with a non legit Serial.
There is no Online Activation.
The Serial is only needed to install the game

i am an it administrator and heavy gamer.... i am glad this crack is posted here...i have a legal copy of the game, and hate putting in discs...this works perfectlky and lets my son play on his computer without buying 2 copies...i in no way endorse piracy.... but id rather download a crack here than megagames, or gamecopyworld....as their sites often contain viruses that can bypass antivirus ( any brand or version) whereas a site like this is not so shady that it is consumed with viruses...so to the guy raising a stink about this ....F$%K off .... just because it isnt for you.... dont speak for the masses, cause the masses will obviously outspeak your dumb remarks

Idiot, do your homework on me first >.< And for your info... This forum is tied to GCW, and the virus reports you get sometimes are false positives.. being an IT Admin you should know that right?

The packet viewer that was running while I ran the game first time says differently, Securom called home to activision server and authenticated the serial.

The idiot part was for the other guy.

But im not using any warez release (which is not allowed here of course), im using retail.. Even the retail box says for requirements "Internet Connection Required"... if it was just for multiplayer it would have said "Internet Connection Required for Online Play"

So the question is, why did avenged say block the firewall? Was to block the serial being checked of course, the game checks the serial to enable multiplayer functions even if you didnt plan on using multiplayer at all.

Plus the fact the packet sniffer I was using, was lighting up with packets of data from activision sniffing for the legit serial I used just by starting the game kinda proves that some online authentication is going on.

There's no point in arguing here; please, report such problems in the appropriate forum. (I did now.)

Also, please, note that, because of problems including malware, removal of online authentication, non-working cracks being propered within hours/day, such "announcements" of cracks, especially ones with external (i.e. not pointing to GCW) links, may be banned in the near future. (Under internal discussion at the moment.)

Any news yet? Could i also ask what is the fundamental reasons of GCW not including cracks that bypass online activation? If you break it down into facts, no-DVD cracks break a copyright protection the same as a crack that will by pass online activation. Both types of cracks can be used by legitimate game owners. Is it because there is more risk of being taken to court? Its obvious the owner of the site wouldnt care so long as there would be no extra risk of being prosecuted, after all, more clicks = more money.

Online activation is unlike physical media that can get damaged or lost or something. The aim of GCW (and similar sites) is to allow people to put their precious originals back to the box and play without them but nothing more. Online activation is completely different: it is supposed to work all the time and not get broken ever (except for short server down times) so there's no need to crack it. (Which is, of course, not true. I also vote for GCW to host cracks circumventing online activation... but, with the current rules, only when the activation servers officially go offline because the company goes bankrupt, the support period of the game is over etc. That is, when the game cannot be played without a crack anymore. User-friendly companies usually release a non-protected update in such cases but not always, e.g. when there is some dispute about who actually owns the copyright.)

I don't think that gaming companies could shut down GCW, especially if it is hosted in several countries - it would be too much of a hassle to track down all mirrors. Also, GCW is not a profit-oriented "service" - the only source for income is the advertisements and I don't think that that pays much. However, it's better to be on the safe side and minimize the damage caused by publishing cracks, as considered by gaming companies. (Whether that damage is real or not could be discussed but that's another story.)

Please, note that this above is my opinion. The only person with the right to change the most important rules is the person who runs this site: Empire. However, he can't be bothered with this so I'm trying to be his, khm, "spokesman".

transformers 2 crashing in startup help
 

today i just downloaded the game called transformers revenge of the fallen.when i install and started it ,when intro was finished a copy righter blue writing came and crashed. i stand by my PC.the error massage was telling "content changed, as a result the game must restart. few days after i tried. but didn't.for 2 days i have been downloading this. please help me :(

Where did you download it from?

Does it work without a crack, with your original DVD?
