Drakensang NoDVD Fixed EXE
 

Hello!

The Drakensang v1.0 [GERMAN] Fixed EXE doesn´t work. After staring the game with this exe, the screen is black and back to desktop!

Does the original exe with original dvd works fine?

Yes will fine

With the original exe the game works fine.

OK, then either you have to wait for a proper crack or create an image with latest DT Pro and mount into vIDE with changed device parameters to prevent damage to original disc.

Just tested the crack from the site, thought it could be corrupted when I uploaded it. Works fine for me. Try using the latest beta from www.7-zip.org.

English please. There are reports, that the crack does not always work on 32 bit machines. Greatest probs are on Xp service pack 3. So not my fault. :D Works fine on my vista x64.


Hier ist englisch Pflicht. Lade dir von www.7-zip.org die 7-Zip 4.58 beta (2008-05-05) runter. Aber es gibt Probleme mit XP und Service pack 3 und Vista 32. Der Crack funktioniert bisher nur auf x64 Versionen einwandfrei.

It's not due to decompression corruption, the crack itself is broken. :(

As I have the same problem - crashing to desktop w/o error message - I've tried the 7zip-ß and compared the extracted file with the one I've extracted previously w. WinRar - no difference.

Vielleicht kommt ja noch ein Crack für XP!!

But im guessing that wasnt the case anyway :)

Could be that whoever did the crack used a weird wrapper to protect the file which works only on a few machines, seen it happen before.

I had same problem with the exe file, didn't work (WinXP SP3).
The miniimage also didn't work until I deleted the following key:
HKCU\Software\SecuROM
Don't forget to reboot!
btw: Original Disc always worked.

Also works in vSCSI of DT lite ;)
btw. for me it runs in vIDE without changed device parameters; are they randomly labeled ?

Don't delete that key if you have Mass Effect, Alone in the dark 5 or any other title with SecuROM online activation installed !

hi guys, i have vista x64 and i cant start the game with this crack! what should i do i extract the crcak with winrar and with 7-Zip no different same problem! the game works with original dvd...

Are you using latest DT lite version 4.30.1 ?

You have to extract the file with WinRar and then mounting the mds file with DT.

i have an another version of DM. Daemon Tool 4.12.4! I dowload now the new version and than need i some anti securom tools?

the crack seems to mess up with the game...

in ferdok - after visiting your friends house - BARLA doesn't appear - that means you cannot continue the quest and the game....

i had to start a new game with the original dvd in dvd-rom and BARLA appears - so i can continue the game...
i play with dvd inside right now !!

Use Miniimage
 

Well, what about using a miniimage then with freeware daemon tools lite v.4.30.1.

Works like a charm, no need of a crack and no need to insert the dvd in any drive.

Don't use the fixed exe
 

My first posts about it where deleted I have this one without my personal opinion is ok the the mod.:

1. The fixed exe does not work. You can only play until you reach the first city, but then a second ingame copy protection is active that keeps an important NPC from Spawning. Even if you remove the fixed exe saved games won't work. You have to start a new game without the exe to make the game work. Mini image works fine!

2. Users who have problems with Drakensang like a black screen at startup have perhaps codec problems. Try starting it with the option -novideo. (Helped me).

3. If you encounter crashes with explorer at right clicks that's a SecuRom problem, you may have it even without the mini image, but there is a fix out there.

@Mod: In your PM you wrote "don't PM me leave it to the forum" so I write it here: I don't think I did a double post because the other thread was about which copy protection Drakensang has and I added that it does not only have SecuRom but also an ingame check. And here I wrote that the crack (fixed exe) does not work...

Ive tried the mini images from gamecopyworld.. I mounted it with the newest version of daemon tools (downloadet it half an hour ago ;D), but when i try to start the "cd", i get an error that says its broken.. Is this my mistake or...?

You can't launch the game from a mini image. Read the PC Games forum FAQ!

This is what happens to me.
I almost cannot work with windows. It crashes all the time
when I use my right mouse button.
Is it a securom-driver issue, that slowly kills my Windows ?

What is the solution for it ?
You mentioned, that there is a fix out there.
Please post a link to the cure, if possible.

yup, try that zip file, and securom doesn't use drivers

When rightclicking any file Explorer.exe crashes due to poorly implemented context menu handler.
Repair.zip fixes that issue.
