Looking for crack for The Settlers: Rise of an Empire
 

hello there.

Has somebody a working Crack for The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. The one on gcw doesn't work. I have the german Version of the game

with the Patch 1.1 you can activate your game Online and play WITHOUT DVD !

but the Online activation will only be available, if you have (for example) Deamon Tools or Alcohol installed. So install DT first and activate the game!

And how does this work? What is, when I reinstall my System (or want to play at my notebook too)? - Any informations?

Well I would prefer a crack, as well as I dislike, those gamelaunchers with autoupdating.
Seems I grow old... *g*

And I would even agree to lay the CD into my drive, but don't have to allow a homecall. - But I won't deinstall Deamon (would have me to take with me around 12CDs, when I'm to work with the NB)

It upsets me everytime, when people who download the game over torrent have a working, portable version - And I (who want's to support the developers) have to search around for hours till I'm able to play without CD and homecallers.

You don't need to remove Daemon Tools to play with you DVD on the drive.
Update SPTD to 1.52 - follow the link: http://disc-tools.com/download/sptdbeta and then you'll be asked for the CD instead activation on-line.

Edit: There are some hints, that Deamon Tools Pro Advanced could burn down a tages profile from S6, which can be monted in the IDE-Emulation... well I can't proof anything, since I don't own it, but if someone would try...

Ok, the Above method works! Thanks for pointing that out.
Here are the details:

For those of you who wishes to make a WORKING copy of your settlers 6 DVD, listen up:

1, download Deamon Tool Pro Advanced..from "link deleted!" (In the middle of the page, 2 red little arrows, click first one to download. After install, copy the "DTP.patch.exe" to your installed folder, and run it ONCE ONLY, enable virtual IDE adapter in the virtual device manager and create an virtual IDE drive)

2, create image using your oringal DVD by choosing "Profile:TAGES" when you are asked, set DPM to high.

3, Load your image with IDE virtual drive which only provided by Pro advanced version of DT tool. SCSI ones will not work with this game!!

Play the game. patch the game or not, it will always work. there is no crack needed !!!

On Vista you can't enable IDE vds, but in Vista SCSI is fine! (tested it in Windows XP and Vista)

odd, i have vista with virtual ide's no problems (vista 64).... perhaps you're mistaken and meant to say vide isn't available in win xp 64?....

Actually, you can update the DT Pro Advanced 4.10.0218 with the new driver(SPTD 1.53). This will allow the mini-image to work just fine. So no need to update to 4.10.0219.

SPTD 1.53driver it's right there. Uninstall the SPTD1.50(uninstaller included with the SPTD 1.53), reboot, ignore the distress message coming from DT Pro, install 1.53 driver and the game it's working.
As a side note, didn't they, supposedly, removed the cd-check from Settlers 6 in the patch 1.1?

Installed today the patch and tested. Works fine.

the game here doesnt work!i have DTP version 4.10.218.0 installed,SPTDinst-v153-x86 installed also for windows XP!i update the game,patch for version 1.2 and 1.3 but i still get the message "please insert original dvd of "The Setttlers-Rise of An Empire"
what am i doing wrong?

use your original DVD or register on-line

the mini image dosent work with 1.3 + DT 218 vide ( try to verify but stops with put the original dvd.... maybe neeed more infos in mini image) i will make a full mds image from my original to try see the diference validation time :) i will reply asap :)

the full image works fine but not the mini :( ---> dt 218 i will try 220 eventualy ... the validation time is 3 secs for miniimage 6 secs for full -----> dt 218

Try vIDE of DT Pro 4.12.0220 instead of 4.10.0218.

I've updated the DT 4.10.0218 SPTD driver to v1.55 and the mini-image worked without problem. Played about two or three hours(just enough to finish a mission).

It's concern of all my tages-mini images currently uploaded to GCW.

Forgotten advice:

Please DISABLE CD/DVD AutoRun of used vIDE/vSCSI drive !

rigth click on vIDE/vSCSI device in DT Pro => "Set Device Parameters" => uncheck box "Auto Insert Notification" => press [Ok]

NOTE:

You can use REG-files to disable/enable AutoRun on ALL CD/DVD- devices.

Unfortunately the mini image does work for me either. I even tried the Autorun thing but still no succes.
The DVD and my large image work though.
I just hoped to save some disk space with the mini image but no success.

I have the german version btw.

I try the mini-image with the version I have (1.3) and the mini-image doesn't work.
I think the mini-image was create from the CloneCD group maxi-image version so it will only work with the game version 1.0.

It doesn't work with vista 86 that including GCW
Is there any solution about this ?
