INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download and extract fm08up801cd2.rar above.
2. Copy fmloader.exe from the archive into your FM directory (usually C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008)
3. Run fmloader.exe and the game will start.

NOTE: Even when you follow the steps above, the original file 'fm.exe' will not run the game. You must run fmloader.exe to start the game properly.

When i run the fmloader.exe it comes up with an error message saying that my game must be version 8.01 and i've definately patched it. Any ideas why this is happening,

Yours might be a different version, e.g. UK instead of US/North America. (Just guessing, don't have the game myself...)

even gives the same error msg if you just run the exe....so the must be 8.01 seems to be some 'generic' error

also no traces of 'exe' in the exe, so how the hell can it launch.. theres CreateProcessW there sure...

seems made with autoit as well, some c sure...

im a little suspicious about this one, no virus scans raised anything, and considering it came from a 7 post user...
(no offence qweasdhead, im just paranoid and care for the users here..)

until qweasdhead can explain what it does, and /or anyone else can confirm it works, i'd be very careful....

check the imports, why the hell does it need winsock..... alarm bells are ringing...

@paok4: What virus scanner, what virus? Have you tried other virus scanners, too?

any chance of having a link to a football manager 2008 patch for 8.0.1 please, cd changing is getting a bore.

and how come gamecopyworld does not host it...most odd that its possibley the only game not listed and yet every other footy manager year is.

If it's not listed then there probably is no crack available yet, not every game/patch gets cracked!

There was a reloaded crack for the original release, so funny that the football manager 2008 page is missing.

Not seen one for the patch yet though.

It's definately a has trojan inside, I think a downloader, but ain't sure. BTW, check www.virustotal.com and you'll know your answer, it tests every with almost every major antivirus, I checked this sometime ago and there was 58% of antiviruses found some kind of spyware there. ;)

Its not a trojan!

Just because an AV says it does have one, doesnt mean its correct.

Some AV's give out false readings. And FM2008 crack is fine.

8 antiviruses tells it's a trojan, TippeX suspects it's a trojan, but you say it's not?

Yes I say its not.

It IS a well know fact that some files are recognized as trojans by several major and minor AV programs even thou they actually are "clean".

So what should I do if my AV doesn't allow me to run the fmloader.exe? I don't want to turn the AV off :(

Add that executable as an exception. (Read the manual on how to do that.)

Are you sure it is safe? Is there any chance that there will be normal crack for this version of FM 08?

If you're talking about the "no-CD patch" mentioned in the first post - I wonder how you managed to download it when the URL has been removed long ago, though - then, no, it's probably not safe. As for a "real" crack, GameCopyWorld doesn't host any for this game.
