Civilization IV: BtS 3.13 fixed EXE not working
 

Hi,

the BTS 3.13 fixed exe doesn't work for me. When I start it, it seems to load just fine, but then I see the main menu only for the fraction of a second before I end up back in Windows with no Civ process running. Any idea what could be the problem?

Have you tried without a crack?

Yeah it works fine without the crack.

Where can I get that crackfix?

edit: I found the entire update as a Vitality release and the nfo (which I got separately) says to copy the crack from the vitality dir in there. Now I'm assuming that's probably the crack I also found on gamecopyworld? Or would it be worth downloading that to try that one out?

im glad that theres a crack out so fast, but ive got the same problem.

after one sekond in the main menu the same problem like DanielZKlein comes..

It'll probably need some time to propagate to the mirrors. Give it a few more hours.

edit: note that the main entry now says "Updated!" so what I assume happened is they uploaded and linked in a new version of the file, and the mirrors probably only update at a certain interval. Someone correct me if my assumptions are wrong ;)

Well for me its not working, getting the same than before... load 1/5 then error.

Well that's different from what I was getting. I never got an error; it loaded completely, then I saw the menu for the fraction of a second, and then I ended up on my desktop. Does it work properly without the fixed exe for you?

No, without fixed exe my computer dont recognize Bts and Civ 4 dvd (but well warlords!).

I will wait a little bit see if some new .exe comes out (otherwise i have to format my computer to play civ... grrr...)

it's working with fixed crack until you try to play with a mod. the game will crash then. i hope they get this fixed.

Then it is not a problem for us as its not crack related! It is either a problem with your original discs or a problem with your system.

You need to contact the official tech support and that is not here. ;)

There's something odd.. I downloaded the 3.13 Vitality fix from GameCopyWorld, but the .exe's properties say "3.0.0.1".
Is it really 3.13?

yes, but it's 3.13 and it works.

... without using a mod. is there any modfix yet?

okay... seems it belongs to the mods themself. next war is working. revolution mod not.

has anyone else noticed that in the "about this build" screen in the menus that its showing as Civ version "303"....
