Downsampling in skies of arcadia? HELP!
 

this game is over 900 megs after being extracted. any files you know of that i can downsample or a place telling you how to do it?

Please.... someone? i know SOMEONE has to know.... the seflboot tookit site is down so i cant check there..

well, the probelm is, skies of arcadia has no movies or any music that i can find. if there was, i would have had the game working in no time. has this game been ripped by any of the groups? if so and anyone has the nfo file please post it so i can see what they took out...

I haven't seen any Skies releases... I too have am looking for ways to cut down the size. If I find anything I'll let you know.

Do you know the size of disc 2? If it's small enough to fit on one CD I might try to break disc 1 up into two and swap when needed.. though that's probably more work than it's worth.

yeah... put half the levels on one disc and half on the other.

How are you modifing the 1st_read.bin file? I can not get anything to work...

I have tried hack.exe and hack3.exe and binhack.exe. What are you doing? This goes for any game.

i just use the selfboot toolkit. i looked at the files on there and they are in no particular order that i can see....

you don't crack the boot protection at all? and it works? i can not get rayman 2 to work at all!

how do you know what exe's to run on the games xena? and what is BinCon? where ya get it at? what does it do?

After u rip a fews protection games and use hexeditor look edit it,u'll remember the protection string,like one of the simply family "CD001"
I suggest u use the cheap one cdr to test the protection game ."us $1 for 7"

bincon is a patch tool like binhack which can crack the wince boot protection .U can get it from my page.

Dude, i don't believe that i said i was a ripping god. in fact, i asked for help with a rip. CDDA ISNT a type of protection. maybee they used something that wouldnt let cdda music play in that game that you would have to crack but quake3 and vigilante 8 both use cdda and they worked perfectly without a cdda patch (Q3A did require the bin hacking prog) I NEVER said i was better than KALiSTO or Echelon and never will say that cuz all of my rips suck and i don't know how to do shit. i just think its stupid that you assume i think im better than all of you or something just cause i cant rip a game (wheres the logic in that ?¿?)
