Devil May Cry 3 v1.3

I saw that a group called ASXDOX have released a crack for DMC v1.3. Does anyone have it for upload? I have been searching around, but with no luck.

Nightmare 11-04-2007 12:57

Maybe there are 2 work-arounds, if you cannot find this crack:
1st: Use a mini/maxi image.
2nd: Install the JAP patch.

It's available now!

Mason 12-04-2007 10:26

So far there's been 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 patches for the Japanese version, but only 1.1 has been released for the American version.

I hear in the threads about RE4 that those patches may add extra graphical effects, but can't verify that as I can't read Japanese. I wonder if the American version will ever get the newer patches.

Muyfa666 12-04-2007 10:46

What does RE4 have to do with this...?

EMPiRE: Where is it available?

Muyfa666 12-04-2007 12:16

That's just the updates I believe. Not the crack.

Nightmare 12-04-2007 14:11

The "Official Devil May Cry 3 SE v1.3.0 [JAPANESE] Patch [11.4 MB] - Works for [US/EU]" should update your game correctly and remove the copy protection.
Just try it ;)

I can only say: d'oh!

It work as you said Nightmare.

How come these aren't listed as cracks?

Nightmare 12-04-2007 14:37

Because it is not only a crack.
It is an update.
They wrote "Fixed Update".
No idea if a crack is included.

Enjoy the game :)

If I really want to enjoy the game, I play it on my PS2, but I'm too lazy to power it up, so the PC-version it is. ;-)

hahaha
This is the same reason as by me :D :D
And I have to go into another room, because of the TV (our best TV is in the living room).

I want to make everything on my pc.
And when I play on pc, I know that I always can make another thing whenever I want.
There is no possibility when playing PS2!

Get a PS2 emulator for the PC... :D

Nightmare 13-04-2007 04:41

I have one, but it is still under construction. :(
pcsx2
Some games run very well, other games don't start.
And you need a very strong pc.
(Overclocking is also recommend, but I'm not an overclocker ;) )

I think after 1 or 2 years, I can play my PS2 games on the pc :D

doh, they did it again, crack using memory allocation to handle the securom vm
this will NOT work for some people (where the memory might already be occoupied by other dlls and so on....)

ByteMare 13-04-2007 13:49

I agree, learn how to really fix securom, not doing dirty fixes....."proper, repack, crackfix..."

Knowledge is king, man:D

caki 13-04-2007 20:29

These days a crackers idea of "fixing" is dumping ~30 MB of memory, of which 29 MB is blank, appending it as a section to the exe, fixing a couple of pitiful checks, missing a couple in the process, and then packing it with UPX to keep the size down and to not have any of the conflicting memory with dll trouble.

Sad to see how low things have gone, especially when securom is far from the realm of impossible to fix it in a better way.

TippeX 14-04-2007 01:51

heh yeh though some dont even do the section thing
they dump, and then put some poxy loader code in the exe to load their memory dumps to the same memory area (if they're lucky that is)...

The threads about RE4's poor graphics go on to talk about how DMC3 was in the same situation, but that the patches have added back many of the missing effects.

It would be nice to know how much is missing from the PC version of DMC3 when compared to the PS2 version.

does anyone tell me what change in 1.3? i installed it but can't see change (graphic, gameplay...). I still having problem with the analog gamepad

Nightmare 02-05-2007 07:54

"This new v1.3.0 patch fixes various gfx/texture issues, and adding Vista compatibility."

Which gamepad problems do you have?
There is an extra tool for the gamepad.
I hope you already looked into it ;)

At http://patches.ubi.com/devil_may_cry_3/
US and EURO versions are available...

Both have securom protected exe, did not bother to check if it is working with Daemon since I have original disc...

...AND if you copy Japanese DMC3SE.exe game works flawlessly, did binary compare and all files are the same EXCEPT jap version have one additional file id6818.pac but I assume this is only needed for JAP version since in EUR/US exes id6818.pac is mentioned inside files also but not installed..plus, oc, readme files are in english. Point is - JAP exe is the same as EUR/US version but without securom. You can install JAP patch and you'll get the same thing..

I installed the Euro patch and got it running with the Mini-Image.
Used latest Daemon Tools (no emulation) to mount the image and YASU to hide the image from Securom.
I had to disable EZPlay in Blindwrite to get it to run.
I originally installed the Jap Patch too but wanted the Euro Patch installed just so I could read the gamepad tool help file. Not that it makes any difference.
Much easier to use the Jap Patch. :-)
